<!-- videoId: 32958521 --><!-- /videoId: 32958521 --> Most time-lapse videos work by capturing an object from one vantage point as the world changes around it. This remarkable time-lapse of the traffic in Ho Chi Minh City by photographer <a href="http://www.robwhitworth.co.uk/">Rob Whitworth</a> moves along with the Vietnamese city. And that &mdash; along with a roundabout that seems to beat like the heart of the city &mdash; is what helps to make this the most amazing time-lapse video you'll see today.<!-- %JUMP:More &raquo;% --> <a href="http://jalopnik.com/5867343/the-most-amazing-time+lapse-video-youll-see-today" title="Click here to read more about The most amazing time-lapse video you'll see today">More&nbsp;&raquo;</a>

Originally intended to start on October 26th, Top Gear is now officially slated for a return to television on November 2nd. We can hardly wait for Series 12 to start, particularly because of the <a href="http://jalopnik.com/5052199/uk-top-gear-comes-back-to-america-tests-corvette-zr1-challenger-srt8-cts+v">American road trip</a> Jeremy and the boys had in a <a href="http://jalopnik.com/5037293/2009-corvette-zr1-first-drive">2009 Corvette ZR1</a>, <a href="http://jalopnik.com/398221/2008-dodge-challenger-srt8-part-one">2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8</a> and a <a href="http://jalopnik.com/5043650/2009-cadillac-cts+v-first-drive">2009 Cadillac CTS-V</a>. Though we'll have to see if their hour-long special <a href="http://jalopnik.com/5059442/top-gear-spotted-filming-episode-in-vietnam">trip to Vietnam</a> is part of the upcoming series, or a stand-alone. <a href="http://jalopnik.com/tag/top-gear/"><em>Top Gear</em></a> is expected to return next month; we've already seen that Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May will be <a href="http://jalopnik.com/5052199/uk-top-gear-comes-back-to-america-tests-corvette-zr1-challenger-srt8-cts+v">coming to America</a> for an episode, and it now appears they'll also be headed to Vietnam for a tour of duty. Unlike their American trip to the <a href="http://jalopnik.com/5053075/top-gear-uk-hits-bonneville-salt-flats-with-corvette-zr1-challenger-srt8-cadillac-cts+v-and-baseball-caps">Bonneville salt flats</a> in which the chaps drive a <a href="http://jalopnik.com/5037293/2009-corvette-zr1-first-drive">Corvette ZR1</a>, <a href="http://jalopnik.com/398221/2008-dodge-challenger-srt8-part-one">Dodge Challenger SRT8</a> and <a href="http://jalopnik.com/5043650/2009-cadillac-cts+v-first-drive">Cadillac CTS-V</a>, the journey in Vietnam is allegedly happening on motorcycle. Well, three motorcycles we presume. Either way it's not going to be an easy trip from Ho Chi Minh City in the south to Hanoi in the north, but it will definitely make for entertaining television. <a href="http://jalopnik.com/5059442/top-gear-spotted-filming-episode-in-vietnam" title="Click here to read more about Top Gear Spotted Filming Episode In Vietnam">More&nbsp;&raquo;</a>

With our current obsession with French cars in general and Citroëns in particular, we hear a lot about Peugeots in former African colonies of France (and, yes, we know that Nigeria is a former <em>British </em>colony, which makes the <a href="http://jalopnik.com/387174/want-a-brand-new-peugeot-504-head-to-nigeria">new 504s you can buy there</a> even cooler). But what about French Indochina, the crown jewel of the erstwhile French Empire? Long after the Viet Minh gave the French the boot, Citroëns continued to roam the streets of Hanoi and Saigon; the photo above comes from <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/81918828@N00/sets/72157603975025559/">this batch of 1968-69 photos</a>. And they're <em>still there</em>; nowadays it's possible to tour Hanoi in a clean-looking Traction-Avant. Thanks to <a href="http://jalopnik.com/commenter/sos10/">SOS10</a> for the tip! <a href="http://www.luxurytravelvietnam.com/EN/Vietnam_tours/Daytrips/Vintage_Citroen_Ride_and_Dine_in_Style.htm">[Luxury Travel Vietnam]</a> <a href="http://jalopnik.com/396520/like-dien-bien-phu-never-happened-traction+avants-in-vietnam" title="Click here to read more about Like Dien Bien Phu Never Happened: Traction-Avants In Vietnam">More&nbsp;&raquo;</a>
