BMW dropped their hotrod oil burner today at the LA Auto Show, showcasing a twin-turbo 3.0 liter diesel engine that is both quick and clean. Clean enough to be legal in all 50 states while keeping it's fun factor. Power numbers sit pretty at 265 horses and 425 lbs-ft of torque; just enough to pull the porch off of your buddy's house, if you so desire. Sprints from 0-60 run at a very non-dieselish six seconds flat while fuel mileage estimates are 23 MPG in the city and 36 MPG on the open road.
