Meet The ToyUteAvalon

Meet The ToyUteAvalonFew vehicles ever came closer to the pinnacle of beige than the Toyota Avalon, an attempt to out-Buick Buick. Yet with some bodywork one Avalon has become the ToyUteA. Lose some doors, add a bed, get a reason to exist.

Reader Joe Meer shared these photos of his new purchase, a 2000 Avalon with 67,000 miles that's stock except for the massive bedwork conversion, done by a limousine company. Not only did the utelaization instantly create the country's coolest Avalon, it also shed about 200 pounds, which makes it slightly quicker and more efficient.

Meet The ToyUteAvalonMeer says he's considering some upgrades, including a rear sway bars and tougher struts. There are much worse ways to spend money on an Avalon.
