The Aston Martin CC100 is a wonderful package of V12 power, lightweight carbon fiber construction and racing heritage. Evo went behind the scenes to see how it was made.
When I met the guy who designed it, I was told that the CC100 project was completed in half a year. As it turns out, the prototype workshop got the carbon panels (all fifty five of them) just ten weeks before the car's debut at the Nürburgring 24 with Sir Stirling Moss in a DBR1 and Daniel Craig as special guests.
That's quite a tight deadline, but Miles Nurnberger and the rest of the team at Aston Martin made sure that the CC100 worked just fine...
That 6.0-litre V12 is truly a work of art on its own.
