It's time for the 2015 Subaru WRX STI to put on its dancin' shoes. And by that I mean a bigger wing, an aero kit, a roll cage and some sexy racing livery as it heads to the Nürburgring.
For the seventh year in a row, Subaru will run a car in the 24 Hours Nürburgring endurace race, and their new one will be based on the latest STI set to officially debut next week at the Detroit Auto Show. The STI race car will compete in the SP3T class.
MotorAuthority reports this car will have a 2.0-liter turbo boxer (duh) four-cylinder engine, which is interesting because while details on the STI's street specs remain scarce, we've heard it packs a 2.5-liter engine. Maybe the STI's motor will be smaller after all? Or maybe the race car's engine is unique from the production car. We'll find out next week in Detroit.
All in all, the new STI looks pretty sexy in racing form, right?
Update: Here's an even sexier video of the car.
