The Rarest Car You've Ever Seen

This past spring I was getting dinner with some friends in northern Massachusetts when I laid my eyes on an early-2000s Alfa Romeo Spider in a parking lot. For our friends in Europe this probably isn't a big deal, but for an American HOLY CRAP SOMEONE HAS A NEWISH ALFA IN THE US. My brain melted.

I saw the owner hopping in the driver seat, so after picking my jaw up off the ground I ran and accosted approached him. I asked how the hell he had this here and he told me that he was able to register the car with diplomat plates. He then sped of into the sunset, 3.0 V6 sounding like a Puccini aria.

Gratuitous Italian car review hyperbole aside, it was about as rare a car as I've ever seen in the US, just like the Jaguar XF Sportbrake Jalopnik has the privilege of testing. Like the Alfa Romeo, they're probably a dime a dozen in Europe, but this is the only one in America. A genuine unicorn.

And now, I'd like to turn it over to you. Show us the rarest car you've ever seen on the road. It could be something like the Alfa or the Jag, or it could be a car that's rare anywhere like a Ferrari 275 GTB/4 NART Spyder or a Saab 9-4X.
