The Ten Worst Car Movies Of All TimeS

To make a great car movie, you have to have some proper gearheads on set to guide you through the process. These ten directors didn't have that. Or good scripts.

Our very own Matt Hardigree put together a list of twelve terrible car movies back in 2009, and in order to show you something new, this list won't include Redline, The Dukes of Hazzard with Jessica Simpson's butt or Lindsey Lohan getting Fully Loaded. Nor Rush, because - spoiler alert! - that's a great movie.

But these ten will still do the trick when you want to torture yourself a bit:

10.) Eat My Dust! (1976)

Rush wasn't Ron Howard's first car movie. Or second. While 1977's Grand Theft Auto starred him, and was written and directed by him, look what he starred in before to get cash for that! Next time you see him, just shout Hoover Niebold...

Having said that, I'm so watching this!

9.) Stroker Ace (1983)

Burt Reynolds being Burt Reynolds, looking at naked ladies and driving a racecar wearing a chicken suit? Another must see.

8.) Death Race (2008)

The original Death Race 2000 is one of the best movies ever made. Yes, I'm serious. The reboot? Meh. It's a Paul W.S. Anderson movie without Milla Jovovich. It's pointless. If you're an Anderson fan, just watch Mortal Kombat, again.

7.) Speedzone (1989)

This, and lots of beer. Recipe for a fun night. Or disaster.

6.) Mitchell (1975)

"That chase makes Driving Miss Daisy look like Bullitt." Indeed.

5.) Drive Angry (2011)

It's a 104 minutes of Nicholas Cage doing what he usually does, when all it should have been is Amber Heard doing this:

4.) Black Moon Rising (1986)

BrianMadigan tries to explain why it happened, but I'm not buying:

I don't know, it did have Tommy Lee Jones and Linda Hamilton. I believe Chrysler Corp financed this movie so they could push the idea of "Turbo" as the future of everything.

3.) The Last Ride (2004)

It's Dennis Hopper in a Pontiac GTO commercial. A bad one.

2.) Fast Girl (2008)

Staring American Idol contender Justin Guarini.

No, you were not.

1.) Taxi (2004)

Have you seen Luc Besson's (who has something in common with Paul W.S. Anderson) original Taxi from 1997? That was a fun French movie. This is the worst thing that could happened to it. Or anything.
Damn!
