I remember the 612 Scaglietti being hot stuff back in the mid-2000s, but you almost never hear about it anymore. That's kind of a shame because it's beautiful in a very subtle and understated way, unlike so many overstyled modern cars.
That probably has a lot to do with the man behind it: the late, great Sergio Pininfarina, with whom MotorWeek netted an interview for their 2005 segment on the Scaglietti. It's a big Ferrari, but as Sergio says, it's still elegant and sporting.
Oh yeah, and it has a 5.7-liter V12 with 540 horsepower, so it hauls just fine. And it has a six-speed manual option! Remember when Ferraris had those?
