America has been on a sad, downward failure-spiral ever since Daihatsu departed our shores in 1992. Only a small few were able to sample cars like the Rocky mini-SUV, leaving the rest of us to wallow in the misery of our pointless lives.
Watch this review of the Rocky from the 1990 and gaze upon what we've been missing. Small SUVs designed for off-roading! Plastic seat covers! A dead pedal! Width! No airbags! It may have been tiny and underpowered, but it was tougher than a good many cars today.
Come back, Daihatsu. We're sorry we hurt you. Give us one more chance.
