We didn't have a computer, let alone the Internet, but if we did my dad would have been a fan of Tank on Empty, a site devoted to figuring out how far we could go past the little E. Based on user votes, a Honda Civic will go an average of 45.34 miles past E, with a max of 76 miles. This is a bit misleading, since there's probably a big difference between between a mid-80's CRX and a mid 90's sedan. But it's fun to fool around with nevertheless. How does your car stack up?
