Welcome to Sunday Matinee, where we highlight classic car reviews or other longer videos I find on YouTube. Kick back and enjoy this blast from the past.

Sebastien Loeb set a new and seemingly-unbeatable time at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb today, and again I'd like to wish him mazel tov on his efforts. Red Bull caught some flak for their camera work, so why don't we watch a film of the hill climb that was all about the camera work?

Filmed at the 1988 Pikes Peak hill climb, Climb Dance is a famous example of cinéma vérité, with gorgeous action shots and sweeping panoramas. Though some of the angles may look common today, every action movie you see, every hooning video on Youtube, every episode of Top Gear with crazy driving can trace its roots back to this film.

Ari Vatenen, at the wheel of a Peugeot 405 Turbo 16 GR set the then-world record on this climb, with a time of 10:47.77. The view all the way up is just stunning.
