@klaud: They really need to come out with the Zonda Zegna, a two-piece Italian suit with Zonda's matte carbon fiber weave pattern in a worsted wool and cashmere blend, lined with Zonda's shiny CFRP pattern in silk.
"Like my Ermenegildo Zegna suit? It matches the weave on my carbon fiber Pagani Zonda F. ... Well it's in the shop right now, I'm driving a Nissan Altima loaner."
The artisans at Pagani Automobili S.p.A. do better pattern matching than Savile Row.
What you gon’ do with all that carbon?
All that carbon under your hood?
I’ma get, get, get, get, you drunk,
Get you love drunk off my grunts.
My grunt, my grunt, my grunt, my grunt, my grunt,
My grunt, my grunt, my grunt, my lovely carbon grunts. (Check it out)
I drive these brothers crazy,
I do it on the daily,
They treat me really nicely,
They buy me all these ice-ys.
Pagani & Zonda
Fenders and those tail
Pipes, they be race stripes
All their money got me wearin’
Fly gear but I ain’t askin’,
They say they love my ass ‘n,
Se7en Jeans, True Religion,
Se7ens drool, AMG engine
I say go, and they keep floorin’
So I keep on goin’
And no I ain’t fakin’
We can keep on racin’
I keep on demonstrating.
My love, my love, my love, my love
You love my thrust and grunt,
My grunt, my grunt, my grunt,
My grunts they got you,
She’s got me spending.
(Oh) Spendin’ all your money on me and spending time on me.
She’s got me spendin’.
(Oh) Spendin’ all your money on me, on me, on me
Hmmm. Guys I think my inner dragon is broken cause this car bores me severely.
I've seen the video of this thing roaring on the street but sitting here it seems kinda sad, this is the kind of car that begs to be driven and hard. This car wants to race around a track against other purpose built cars of similar performance. I guess what kills this for me was the fact that all the other Zondas are made to drive on the street and even have a tiny little bit of storage room for a small bag but this is strictly for racing where it's not audacious at all, it becomes just another race car.
@PowerTryp forever Minardi: I think I kind of see how you are feeling here. I don't appreciate track-only cars as much as I do those that can be used on the street, too. That said...
This car is truly an example of beauty in engineering. The car is dramatic in its styling for sure, but alone, visually, it is not like an Aston or Maserati in its beauty.
But then you get closer - like these pictures - and you realize that what you are looking at is without a doubt probably the finest example of sheer automotive engineering ever made. And that in itself is something that every one of us as car people, in some way, must appreciate and, really, love.
I don't have the passion for this that I do for say, a Carrera GT - because to me the Carrera GT is not only beautiful but also superbly engineered. But the Zonda, and the R version in particular, is undeniably magnificent in the way it is put together. The final product is utterly staggering. I don't love it the way I love other cars, but my respect for it is, well, yes, limitless.
@ThreeLitre: It's not that I don't respect the car for what it is, what gets me is that the car has made a name for being outlandish and obscure. The type of car little boys dream of at night and try to draw at school. This though is race specific, how many little boys dream of a LeMans prototype or any other car such as that? I'd think not many.
A car like the Maserati MC-12 is a perfect example of a car that'll get people excited and still stradle that line between full out race car and street car. Earlyer Zondas did that as well.
I also get excited about pure full blown racecars or any normal car like a Mustang or 370Z that gets turned into a crazy track car. Rhys Millens Hyundai Genesis Coupe is a perfect example of the kind of car that gets me excited in ways you don't want to understand.
@burlybax: The plan has backfired though, 'cause the photos make it obvious that it's had some work done. No. 8 shows clear evidence of a duct lift, no. 9 just screams snorkelplasty, and if no. 12 doesn't show evidence of dermabrasion, I don't know what does.

Seriously though, I think I might crap my pants if I experienced full throttle in this car.
