One month after releasing a trailer teasing Andreas Eriksson drifting a Ford Fiesta ST rally car atop a downtown Detroit parking garage, here, finally, is the official bid video by The Work to bring the X Games to Detroit. Was it worth the wait? Hell yes.

Detroit has been down and out lately. But there's still life in the Motor City. Right now, there's a campaign to get the X Games to Detroit in 2014 to 2016. This is the awesome trailer for the big bid video that is coming out later this month.

A week ago at the Winter X Games, 25-year-old Caleb Moore was in the midst of a stellar run. The three-time medalist was putting on a clinic in the finals of Snowmobile Freestyle. He was landing flips and body varials, and he seemed destined for the podium. Then everything went wrong.

Injuries and the X Games tend to go hand-in-hand. The risk of injury at the Winter X Games increased about 600 percent a couple of years ago when they added freestyle snowmobile stunts to the roster.
