Not that unusual for start-ups-the more outside money that comes in, the less control the originators maintain.
Reminds me locally of 'Will Vinton Studios' (The California Raisins). Vinton needed a cash influx, and since Phil Knight's son was working there as an animator, Will went to Mr. Knight with a proposal. Knight eventual owned 54% of the company, at which time he fired Vinton. The story goes that at the meeting between Vinton and PK's lawyer (Howard Shluser-and the stories of him are legion) to discuss compensation for Vinton's 46% of the company that he had started and guided to success, Shluser opened with an offer of $50,000.00. Vinton was, obviously, taken aback at this low-ball sum, even for an opening salvo. 'Okay', said Shluser, '$10,000.00'. And that's what Vinton walked away with. #wiredautopia
This one was brewing for a while. From a good source, Wilbur hired a lot of ex-Chrysler types and overlayered the staff. Word is the well trained engineers and designers re-did the Aptera body but erred by using sheet metal practices instead of designing for composite materials. Oops! I guess that cost quite a bit of money. Hence PW's application for a bailout. Sorry to see Steve Fambro and Chris Anthony go but it may be the best thing that ever happened to them in the long run. #wiredautopia
"Our greatest degree of learning came just a few months ago when we asked all of you to participate in a brief survey...you helped us realize that some trade-offs for convenience (like being able to grab a burger in a drive-thru) might be necessary to make the ownership experience more palatable..."
I know a person's fat ass is considered sprung weight, and is contained inside the cabin, but it doesn't help. When will consumers start doing their parts? #wiredautopia

Or I could just move to Mississippi and do that legally right now. I guess it would come down to which part of Mississippi... #wiredautopia
