You know, ordinarily, I'm all for engineerified wild as a monkey on caffeine go fast bits. But if this keeps up, we're going to have cars that look like they somehow grew out of the bottom of a train trestle somewhere. And that would be disconcerting.
Big front wings aren't all that new - 1971 Lola T-260 Can Am car for example.... and I've seen pics like this on some of the Pikes Peak racers. Makes sense to get as much aero on the drive wheels as possible... baqlance the car...
@vwminispeedster, pronounded Si-trow-in: At the SC race there was a Civic/Prelude something with several wings on it, one in the front. I can't find the picture though.
@PetroSapien: While I never condone doing damage to another persons vehicle, if I ever see a wing on the front of a Mustang, Camaro, or Challenger, I will do the owner a favor and rip it off. I'll even leave my contact information in case they come out and don't understand why someone would do that; this way they can call me and allow me to explain why they are morons.
@Bullitt417: That is very kind of you. But seeing that they already have a front wing on a RWD, do you think they will understand you are doing them a favor?
One of my coworkers has a TC with the cow catcher (sorry, don't know the proper term) under the bumper, and it's all beat to hell from going over speed bumps and so on.
