    I know Tesla doesn't have the resources to design a new car from the ground up. HOWEVER, you can at least license a chassis from someone then design new sheetmetal around it.


    If all you are going to do is put an electric drive in an existing car and slap your name on it, then this guy beat them to it. All he needs to do is name it The Brian: [jalopnik.com]

    No. See, the deal is that the CLS is a real car that you can actually buy.
    As far as I can tell, the Tesla S is based on the Easter bunny, Santa Claus, and that Harrier that cost a million pepsi points.

    You know, I usually hate tattoos, but oddly enough, I don't mind them on her. The only one that kind of sort of bugs me is the one of Marilyn Monroe on her forearm, but still, I could totally live with it.

    I doubt it. There is no way that they could have used a platform as expensive as the CLS to develop an even more expensive electric drive train and still attempt to sell them for $60k.

    Seems like a longshot. Different front dam, totally different lower door sheet metal. Sure, they might have the same wheelbase and general profile.

    I thought the styling looked more like that of Maserati, so i'd say no it doesn't look like a CLS.
