I don't think I could commute in a Seven. But then, I haven't tried. I'd probably mount big fiberglass antennas at the corners with fluorescent tennis balls on top, so other cars would realize I'm right there, under them. If only I wasn't able to walk to work...
As for leaving the Morgan's top down when it's snowing: The poor bastard tried to put it up. But the frames is rusted tight and he ripped the canvas trying to work it loose. I do have enormous respect for folks who drive their ragtops in the rain, fitting a tonneau cover around themselves to keep the upholstery dry.
Whoever is driving this is my hero ! I am so damn envious, and would love to have a se7en as a daily driver, you know not pampered, but abused and enjoyed... just like se7ens should be.
who was that Jalop with a se7en again ? REVEAL YOURSELF.
@c0de DEMANDS layabout's return: Al had a Se7en, but he sold it. Lieberman did a great piece on a meetup of Se7en drivers on the Tail of the Dragon. I can't find that piece, but here is one from Al: [jalopnik.com]
@Sloop_John_F*cking_B_Jalopnik_Gold_Edition: I miss the ramblings of Al Navarro. We got to know each other in New York the week before he sold off his Se7en. We went for a ride down the West Side Highway, and cruised back through Times Square going back to the lower west side.
How many here remember when Al did commercial reviews?
UD, that was a great f-ing day last May. Very Ferris Bueller.
Also, that morning with Jonny and other Se7eners down at the Dragon was transcendent. Zero traffic. 5 or 6 Se7ens, including a regional SCCA champ (not me). A little fog, a little dampness, both burning off. Jonny and I had met for the first time before I strapped him into my Tilletts. The shot of the Green and Yellow Cat chasing me down is my screen saver. Good times.
I shall return fellas, to Se7en ownership as well as a more active persusal/commenting on the Jalop. Thanks for the words of appreciation.
FYI, my old car is currently being helmed by a car photographer in the L.A. area. If you see an Orange Superlight R in the canyons or at Cars & Coffee, ask the owner "That's Al Navarro's old car, right?"
May have mentioned it before but that's the first thing I said to Morgan when I saw him with the car. He's a good lad - I'd chatted to him & his Dad previously about his Elan.

Also, to answer your question: yes.

Well, the moss is a bit thin. I think it's only Kate moss.

Hey - it's channelling Stirling Moss!

I'd go so far as to say it is an absolutely sterling effort.
(Yes, I know that the name and the town are spelt with an 'i'.)
Kudos for the Q number plate (Qdos?). That tells us that the proud owner (or the original owner at least) built this himself.

Drive away where no ball and chain
Can keep us from the roarin' road
Together undivided but forever we'll be free
So drive away aboard our car
The moon is full and so are we
We're Se7en driving pirates
We're the Se7en deadly sins
So the years rolled by and several died
And left us somewhat reelin'
Johnny revved his Twin Cam
Left blastin' down the road
So what became of rebels
Who sang for you and me?
Grapplin' with their gearshift
In the search for liberty
Gearheads who hoon it all
Can drive upon the highway
Where blandness have ravaged all
In spite of good intentions
Don't fill your days with boredome
For pride will surely swell
But nothing's unforgiven in the four corners of hell

You did mention it. I just spoke to Morgan a few weeks ago. He described the car as "automotive crack".
To paraphrase Salt-n-Pepa, "This [car] ain't for everyone. Only the sexy people."
A few weekends ago, I looked at a 964 C4 and a 996 C4S. And still left wanting a Se7en.
FWIW, Peter O. rocks. Good addition to the lineup.
