    @Novaload: Yeah... I think they are competing to see who can get the lowest gas mileage. We actually had a police chase involving a Prius here in NH not long ago. The news said it reached speeds of 107 MPH. Prius drivers are insane. #tesla

    @gomerkyle9: 107 miles per hour, electronically limited. Verified, then verified again, couple dozen times (to make sure, you know). Driver can get away with 108 mph downhill before it catches you. All in the name of science, you know.

    Since when is a diesel guzzling overweight SUV a green alternative? A Toureg is a cockmobile, exactly like a new BMW. TDI is irrelevant the fast majority are TDI anyway). It's the exact opposite of a smug Prius. Or is this my European perspective again, that doesn't quite grab the US way of judging cars? #tesla

    @duurtlang: In California there are a lot of opportunities to go out and drive offroad and a Touareg is a damn mountain goat like a Rover. Air Suspension, two locking diffs, and big torquey diesel equals totally bitchin' fun if you have some decent rubber. Throw all your shit in the back and get lost, all the while getting over 20 mpg. 'Muricans dig that stuff. It's not a Cockmobile... I never see one weaving and tailgating all over the road like a 3 Series... #tesla

    i must say that one of my proudest moments was wiping the smug smile off of a new prius owner's face by letting him know that i got much better gas mileage...

    the guy was happy to tell me that he got almost 37 mpg... while i laughed and showed him my trip ODO reading.... just shy of 57 mpg in a 1.9L TDi new beetle.............

    made my day... or maybe last three years........ hmmm.. #tesla
