DISGUSTING ass-end... I had seen a black one back when they barely came out (thanks Cars & Coffee Irvine) and it was GOOD! But the green-grey color of the one this morning was SO not money!!

Your brain is telling you she's not worth it, because you couldn't stand all the sacrifices: Having to become a vegan. Learning to like Starbucks. Learning Yoga. Switching to Buddhism.

The interior is well done, with Italian style seat horizontal seat inserts, etc.
However, it is just too impractical for a VW and its price I think. The rear seat, beside being for 2 only, is terrible for ingress/egress due to the swoopy shape. Overall, you minds as well get a coupe, and something sportier in general. I don't know what their volume projections are, but if it is meant to be mass market I just don't see it happening.

I know that's informal science, but I still can't reconcile how a brand who has built its modern reputation on practicality and "high content for the price" would even bother with this.
When Piech was at the helm, they were really planning to go model-for-model with Mercedes, winning on price. Most analysts thought this was a bad idea. I see more of the same here.

I wonder how long it took them to get the "VW" in the wheel centers to all be vertically oriented?

1. Some cars have spinning centers to the wheels, they take about thirty seconds to do it all around.
2. if no spinning hubs, 1 guy can do it in about 5 min. by putting the car in Neutral, jacking up the tire and centering the wheel - repeat for each wheel.
