273 ft lbs @ 0 rpm is a lot. Find a big block ICE that will do that.

Tesla has 280 lb ft of torque with an 8.27:1 gear ratio, so the volt has 273 lb ft while the tesla has over 2300 lb ft after the transmission.

There would have to be a differential, which most likely has step-down gearing.
