I have a deep-seated mistrust of valet services. I don’t trust strangers to take my car to a place where I can’t see them park it. I don’t trust strangers who don’t give a shit about my car. I don’t trust strangers in a hurry with my car. I don’t trust strangers in my car.
Luxe, a valet parking app for your phone, has now partnered up with Tesla Motors in San Francisco and New York City to meet Tesla owners at their destination and do everything like park, wash, and charge the car for them—because the future is all about having nothing to do with your car, apparently.
Many high-end cars have valet modes which allow the owner to limit certain features of their car, even horsepower, when handing the keys over to a valet. For 2015 the Corvette Stingray gets the best valet mode of any car, courtesy of its Performance Data Recorder.
Valet parking. The name itself just oozes class, sophistication, and convenience. And the best part is that for a nominal fee, you get to forget about the hassles of searching for a parking spot yourself.
