+130% of the price of the regular model for +50hp -2 seats +1 acre of carbon fibre?

I'll have to wait until we know what the actual performance gains are until I call this a complete rip off.

"Ever since the Nissan GT-R had its ass handed to it on the Nurburgring by the Corvette ZR1..."

Wasn't it the Viper ACR that performed the "posterior return" to both of these also rans?

@Mopar_4_U: Well yes, but the Viper ACR beat the second time for the Zed-Arrrrr-One by, I think, 0.3 of a second, and it's a stripped-down race-bodied monster, whereas the ZR1 is a full production model. The Vette did all this with full leather seats, carpet, stereo equipment, etc etc.

For that kind of money, I could buy a nice 10-yr-old Supra Turbo which is about 4x more power than I'm ever likely to apply in real life, and a fixer-upper three-bedroom bungalow on a small lot north of town.

It would probably even have a garage to put the car into. So, pass.

How appropriate that you can now get the GTR in Ultimate Black Pearl, because you'd have to be drunker than Jack Sparrow to fork over 95K in doubloons. Yarrr, that be piracy!

You're kinda good at this game, aren't you?

So make it RWD and put in a normal manual tranny.

I bet you can save 400# with those two things alone.

The added lightness sounds pretty good. I predict that adding lightness will be a prevalent performance enhancement during the Carpocalypse (though mostly through de-contenting).

Why stop there? Clearly, the Sentra SE-R Spec V has enough features to warrant a $50K tag.

I expect that within a month of these being in showrooms, Porsche will put out a press release about how Nissan is cheating at exorbitant pricing, by showing the reciept of a Spec V they bought for significantly less.
