    I dunno, I think it's a little too bland. No one will ever notice this. Maybe they could, I don't know, put on a few dozen more lights and 6 or 7 more trim pieces? In contrasting colors?

    @mr_dude: No. There's something seriously wrong with that. A 128i making fewer HP and less torque hits 60 in under 6 secs.

    @mr_dude: I just did some research, and the 123d does 6.7 in stock form, so i'm not sure where these numbers came from

    That body kit and paint job is writing a check the performance can't cash.

    If I pulled up next to this thing at a light I'd be fooled into thinking that so much exterior upgrading must mean he's got some real nice engine goodies.

    Then I'd smoke him in my roomates Neon SXT.

    @jbh11126: Not sure why I am feeding the trolls, but a Neon SXT 0-60 per allpar.com is either 8.1 or 7.9. A gas GTI stock is 200hp, so a tuned GTD at 190 should perform similarly (especially when you factor in the torque increase). A GTI without x-diff does 0-60 stock in the mid 6s (low 6s with DSG). Not sure if the diesels get x-diff, but either way I don't see how the neon is going to make up the 1.5 second difference.....

    This isn't your 1977 47hp rabbit diesel with the 3+1 gearbox.

    @rickerbr: Ok guys FINE.

    I guess this might maybe be quicker than my roomate's neon. Maybe.

    You folks may have forgotten that the SXT model is special because it comes with a factory spoiler.

    This spoiler in fact brings wheel horsepower up to around 400.

    It also automatically takes 3 seconds of the 0-60 time.

    @jbh11126: Ummm... not really. I think you may need a little refresher on that physics from high school. Low end easily beats it. Top end may have a race, depending on gearing. But no one is driving around on surface streets at 140MPH. Unless you are auditioning to be the new sex toy in the local pokey.

    @brandegee: Without the slightest doubt in my mind, the Tempo. Actually, I wouldn't be too surprised if the only vehicle to survive the apocolypse is in fact, the diesel-powered Tempo.

    I almost love it, but VW did most of the work. That's both good and bad.

    I know it's sacrilege, but I really like the looks of the 4-door Golfs more than the 2-door (in the MkV and MkVI versions). Makes the car more competitive with the MS3, as well.
