<![CDATA[Audi TT RS Heading To Geneva, And This Isn't It]]> Although we know the Audi TT RS will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, this purported teaser circulating the web isn't it.

The folks over at iMotor Mag got the same teaser shot we'd found in our e-mail box over the weekend. They made some calls to the folks at Audi, confirming what we already knew — that the TT-RS is most certainly to be unveiled in Geneva. But this so-called TT-RS teaser is actually an Audi TT mk1 with an optional spoiler affixed to it and as iMotor puts it: "the image is likely the work of someone with Photoshop and plenty of time on their hands over the weekend." <![CDATA[Audi TT Clubsport Quattro Interior Defies Meme, Made Mit Aluminum Und Orange?!]]> Audi's apparently taking the TT Clubsport Quattro — the same show car we spotted looking much more production-like earlier this month — to the Wörthersee Tour. That's the same Tour we could make neither heads nor tails of a few days later when Audi revealed their A3 TDI Clubsport Quattro concept. At least now we understand why we're seeing the Clubsport Quattro's exterior aluminum und shteel looking a little less concept-like and a little more prêt-à-porter, it's the interior that's got us flummoxed. Audi's thrown caution, and apparently "shteel," to the wind. The interior of the new for-show version of the TT Clubsport Quattro? It's made in that typical Audi fashion — heavy amounts of aluminum — und — und — orange? Ja, mit orange. Can you imagine what the job of vetting an Audi press release translation must be like before they go out? "Hans, that does not sound like what you think that sounds like!" "Nein, our vives demand zee TT clubsport quattro mit zee oranghe! Zis vee musht do!" Full press release below the jump reveals all.

The Audi TT clubsport quattro: Open-top driving machine with over 300 hp

* Audi presents its showcar at the Wörthersee Tour
* Speedster-like body with dynamic accents
* Racing-like engine and suspension performance

An open cockpit, an engine producing more than 220 kW (300 hp) and a host of technologies borrowed from the world of motorsports - the Audi TT clubsport quattro is an uncompromising driving machine. Audi is presenting an updated version of the spectacular showcar and sensation of 2007 at the Wörthersee Tour, the big meet for Audi and VW enthusiasts in Reifnitz (Kärnten), Austria, from May 21 to 25.

Purism at a premium level - this was the goal that the designers and engineers set themselves for the Audi TT clubsport quattro. The low windshield is extremely flat. The A-pillars are nearly invisible, making the continuous window strip appear to be a single casting. Instead of the compartment for the soft top there are two humps behind the passenger compartment - the lines of the showcar painted in Suzuka Gray, pearl effect are intensely evocative of a speedster. Mounted in front of the humps are two massive rollover bars, which together with the strong A-pillars protect the driver and passenger if the car should roll over.

The front end is dominated by the powerful single-frame grill painted in high-gloss black. Beneath the headlamps, which feature a strip of LED daytime running lights, are large air inlets covered by horizontally split black grills.

A distinctive spoiler lip optimizes downforce. When viewed from the side, the sharp contours in the sill area are every bit as striking as the boldly accentuated wheel wells, which house impressive (polished) 9x19 inch wheels shod with 255/35 tires. The track was widened by 66 millimeters (2.60 inches) versus the production TT. The rear bumper is designed as a diffuser. The fascia between the two large tailpipes of the stainless steel exhaust system emphasizes the horizontal lines and makes the car look even wider from behind.

The purist style of the exterior carries over to the interior of the Audi TT clubsport quattro. The newly designed sill area emphasizes the width of the vehicle. The driver and passenger sit in racing bucket seats that offer excellent support even in extreme driving situations - on the race track, for example.

Typical Audi: aluminum in the interior

Typical for Audi is the generous use of aluminum in the interior of the showcar. The clubsport quattro sports a high-grip version of the flat-bottomed steering wheel from the production TT with aluminum shift paddles. The door pull handle and door opener are also made of aluminum, and their cut-out appearance emphasizes the lightweight design character of the concept car. The pedals also shine with aluminum.

The second distinctive feature of the interior of the TT clubsport quattro is the color orange. Leather in this color provides bright highlights to the arm rests, the sides of the center tunnel, the backs of the bucket seats and the instrument cowl. The orange and white graphics of the instrument cluster clearly distinguishes it from its counterpart in the production model.

The TT clubsport quattro is a true sports car, and technology borrowed directly from the world of motorsports emphasizes this character. Even more power has been coaxed out of the 2.0 TFSI engine - the turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine breaks the magic 300 hp barrier. The exhaust system was designed to be particularly easy-breathing, and a powerful racing sound exudes from the oval tailpipes.

Audi high-tech: S tronic und quattro

The two-liter engine delivers its full power to an S tronic transmission. Thanks to its dual clutch, gear changes occur extremely quickly without interrupting the flow of power and thus go virtually unnoticed. The driver can change gears manually using the shift lever or the paddles on the steering wheel, or can choose a fully automatic mode. The quattro permanent all-wheel drive system transfers the power to all four wheels.

The powerful brake system from the new Audi TTS provides the stopping power. Its ventilated discs measure 340 millimeters (13.39 inches) up front and 310 millimeters (12.20 inches) at the rear.

The Audi TT clubsport quattro is a purist driving machine combining the performance of a sports car with the unique design language of Audi. Small-series production of this model cannot be ruled out.

AUDI AG sold a total of 964,151 cars in 2007 and thus achieved its twelfth consecutive record year. With revenue of €33,617 million and profit before tax of €2,915 million, the company attained its best figures ever. Audi produces vehicles in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm (Germany), Györ (Hungary), Changchun (China) and Brussels (Belgium). At the end of 2007, production of the Audi A6 started in Aurangabad, India. The company is active in more than 100 markets worldwide. AUDI AG's wholly owned subsidiaries include Lamborghini S.p.A. in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy, and quattro GmbH in Neckarsulm. Audi employs more than 54,000 people worldwide, including 45,000 in Germany. The brand with the four rings invests more than € 2 billion each year in order to sustain the company's technological lead embodied in its "Vorsprung durch Technik" slogan. Audi plans to significantly increase the number of models in its portfolio by 2015, from the 26 currently on offer to 40.

<![CDATA[2010 Audi TT Clubsport Quattro]]> We first saw the Audi TT Clubsport Quattro — a spectacular take on the bubble-topped drop-top Audi TT — about a year ago this month. We knew shortly after we saw the concept the Clubsport Quattro would make it to production and the showroom floor. Now, one year later, the quick-like-a-bunny spy shooters at KGP have caught the Clubsport Quattro as it's gone from concept to production prototype. The prototype displays some key changes from the concept seen way-back-when, like bigger, longer and more uncut A-pillars, a windshield that's sitting a wee-bit taller, larger side-view mirrors and that all-important additional brake light for governmental regulation satisfaction. Oh, and let's not forget those door handles straight from the Audi TT. Remember those off the concept? Of course you don't — the concept lacked such silliness as a means of entering the two-door 'vert. And what about the engine? No clue yet, however the Clubsport concept was powered by an engine derived from the Audi S3, producing 300 horsepower. Whether that engine will be used in this production spin-off is not yet clear. We also don't know what the model year will end up being, but whether 2010 or 2011, we're looking forward to this very imaginative re-imagination of Audi's cute little TT. Full spy report from KGP after the jump.

We just caught the production version of the Audi TT Clubsport Quattro, first seen in concept form at the Essen Motor Show last November. This prototype displays some important changes from the concept that point to clear production intent, like thicker A-pillars, a slightly taller windshield, larger side mirrors, and an additional brake light to satisfy governmental regulations. The prototype caught here also has standard TT door handles, while the concept went without such practicalities.

The Clubsport concept was powered by an engine derived from the Audi S3, producing 300 horspower. Whether that engine will be used in this production spin-off is not yet clear.

This sexiest of TTs obviously harkens back to Porsche's 911 Speedster. Audi's bold move to advance the concept to this production-ready stage is yet another example of Ingolstadt's determination to surpass BMW and Mercedes in terms of luxury cache.

<![CDATA[Audi TT 2.0 TDI Quattro Announced]]> Seems that somebody is pushing forward with more diesel cars. In this case it's the Ingolstadt jungen heeding the call with the freshly announced Audi TT 2.0 TDI Quattro. Everything Audi TT we've seen already but with added oil burning flavor for maximum enjoyment. The turbocharged four pot common rail diesel manages 170 hp at about 4,200 rpm and a healthy 258 lb.ft. or torque between 1,750 and 2,500 rpm. That meaty power band is good for 0-100 km/h sprints in the neighborhood of 7.5 seconds - not bad for an engine good for a claimed 44 mpg. No word on US market release, but maybe if we shout loud enough they'll hear us. Gnaw on the press release below the fold

Audi TT Roadster 2.0 TDI quattro

Powerful performance with maximum efficiency

Ingolstadt - Audi is once again setting standards, this time with the new
Audi TT and its TDI engine—a model that combines pure sportiness and
powerful performance with sensational efficiency. The Audi TT 2.0 TDI
Coupe quattro and Audi TT Roadster 2.0 TDI quattro are the first series-
production sports cars to feature diesel engines. It's a compelling union:
The two-liter engine generates dynamic propulsion with 125 kW (170 hp)
and 350 Nm (258.15 lb-ft) of torque, yet the TT Coupe and TT Roadster
consume an average of only 5.3 liters and 5.5 liters of fuel per 100 km
(44.38 mpg and 42.77 mpg) respectively—unparalleled in the sports car
segment.

Audi is setting the pace with this synthesis of excellent dynamism and low fuel
consumption, as it has done for many years: Since debuting in 1989 the TDI
engines from the brand with the four rings have been paving the way for the
world's most successful efficiency technology and acting as trendsetters for the
entire automobile industry. Today, these powerful, refined and highly fuel-
efficient engines represent a modern, smart take on sportiness. The run of
victories achieved by the Audi R10 TDI diesel race car at the Le Mans 24
Hours and in the American Le Mans Series are impressive evidence of the
tremendous potential of this technology.

The dynamic diesel engines from Audi exert an exciting impact not just in
racing but also in series-production models—and now indeed in a sports car.
The TT Coupe quattro with the 2.0 TDI sprints from zero to 100 km/h
(62.14 mph) in 7.5 seconds and achieves a top speed of 226 km/h
(140.43 mph). The Audi TT Roadster, likewise equipped with quattro
permanent all-wheel drive, requires only an extra tenth of a second for the
standard sprint, and continues up to a top speed of 223 km/h (138.57 mph).
Both versions serve as outstanding examples of the success of the Audi
efficiency strategy, thanks to their fuel efficiency ratings of 5.5 liters per 100 km
(42.77 mpg), a figure that corresponds to CO2 emissions of only 145 grams/km.

Powerful, refined and efficient: The 2.0 TDI

The new four-cylinder TDI engine (engine displacement = 1,968 cc) represents
a fresh take on the all-round compelling qualities of the TDI concept. Designers
of the dual-camshaft, two-liter model looked to its predecessor—the most-
produced diesel engine in the world—and expanded upon its major strengths:
driving pleasure, efficiency and refinement.

The new common rail injection system is equipped with highly modern piezo
injectors, whose eight-hole injection nozzles can perform up to five distinct
injection sequences per cycle. This fine degree of modulation creates a modest
pressure increase in the combustion chambers, resulting in a significantly
reduced noise level. The system pressure of 1,800 bar allows fuel to form a fine
dispersion, enabling precise, highly efficient combustion.

The turbocharger is also part of a new generation and operates with adjustable
vanes that allow torque to build up rapidly. The positions of swirl flaps on the
intake manifold are controlled by electric motors in order to adapt the flow of air
to the current load and engine speed. The geometry of the engine's pistons has
been modified, and the acoustics of the camshaft drive belt have been
overhauled. Just as they did in the preceding model, two balancing shafts
reduce the vibrations arising in the crankshaft drive.

The cumulative result of this progress is a high maximum engine speed of
5,000 rpm and, most importantly, improved thermodynamics in the combustion
chambers. What this means is that the engine can run on up to 60 percent
recycled exhaust that has been thoroughly cooled by the radiator. This results
in a drastic reduction in untreated NOx emissions, with the 2.0 TDI already
meeting the threshold values of the upcoming Euro 5 standard.

Dynamic road performance

The 2.0 TDI in the Audi TT Coupe and the Audi TT Roadster delivers 125 kW
(170 hp) at 4,200 rpm and sends a full 350 Nm (258.15 lb-ft) of torque to the
crankshaft at engine speeds between 1,750 and 2,500 rpm. Operating quietly
and generating little in the way of vibration, this model delivers a hefty amount
of power at the lowest rpm levels and is highly responsive to input from the gas
pedal. Its supreme power development lends this engine its own unique,
fascinating character—that of a muscular, smart sports engine.

The Audi TT Coupe 2.0 TDI quattro easily leaves the gasoline-powered
competition behind when accelerating from a standstill. It sprints from zero to
100 km/h (62.14 mph) in just 7.5 seconds and never looks back until it reaches
226 km/h (140.43 mph). The TT Roadster accelerates to 100 km/h (62.14 mph)
in 7.7 seconds and keeps going up to 223 km/h (138.57 mph).

These models—the world's first diesel sports cars—consume an average of
only 5.3 liters and 5.5 liters of fuel per 100 km (44.38 mpg and 42.77 mpg)
respectively, which corresponds to CO2 emissions of a mere 140 g/km and
145 g/km. In so doing, they are setting a benchmark that represents a veritable
quantum leap in the sports car segment. With the TDI engine in the TT series,
Audi once again establishes its leading role on the diesel market. The brand
with the four rings is advancing progress and starting at the top.

In keeping with the theme of sporty performance, Audi has combined its two
diesel-engine sports cars with highly effective manual six-speed transmissions
whose short lever travel allows the driver to shift quickly, easily and precisely.
The housings for these transmissions are made of lightweight, high-tech
magnesium materials. Relatively long final transmission ratios have been
employed to bring the drivetrain in line with the character of the TDI engine.

In light of their high torque values, Audi is equipping both of its new TT models
with quattro permanent all-wheel drive. The heart of this system is an
electronically controlled, hydraulically activated multi-plate clutch, which is
located in the rear of the vehicle for improved weight distribution. This clutch
generally distributes up to 85 percent of the engine power to the front axle and
15 percent to the rear axle; in extreme situations it can divert up to 100 percent
of the power to either axle.

The overall concept: An exercise in uncompromised sportiness

Consistent efforts to reduce vehicle weight are also part of the efficiency
strategy pursued by the brand with the four rings. Both sports cars are very
lightweight: the 2 + 2-seater TT Coupe weighs only about 1,370 kilograms
(3020.33 lbs) when empty, while the two-seater TT Roadster with soft top
weighs roughly 1,415 kilograms (3119.54 lbs). Underlying these low weights is
an innovative hybrid body construction developed by Audi. Front components
are made of aluminum and utilize Space Frame technology; rear components
are made of steel. This solution guarantees that the frame is as rigid as
possible and optimizes load distribution between the axles.

The Audi TT Coupe and TT Roadster are dynamic, emotion-packed sports
cars. As was the case with preceding models, these cars are impressive for
their powerful design, whose dynamic flow continues on into the interior. The
cockpit contains multiple nods to the circle motif, and the sports steering wheel
with its flat-bottomed rim fits the driver's hand like a glove. The sport seats are
deep-set, providing a sporty seated position and firm lateral support. The backs
of both rear seats fold down in the TT Coupe, making the trunk space grow
from 290 to 700 cubic liters (10.24 - 24.72 cubic ft). The Roadster (250 liters,
8.83 cubic ft) comes with a practical load-through hatch upon request.

The sports suspension likewise offers extraordinarily dynamic features. The
front suspension is pivoted on an aluminum subframe and has a wide track
measuring 1,572 millimeters (61.89 inches).

A highly precise rack-and-pinion steering system with a direct steering ratio
provides an intimate link between the driver and the road. Power steering with
servo assist, which decreases as speed increases, is generated by an
electromechanical drive that is even more efficient than a hydraulic pump.

The coil springs and shock absorbers in the four-link rear axle are situated in
separate areas. The links are also finely differentiated: The layout of the trailing
links, which absorb the propulsive and braking forces, is relatively soft to
promote a comfortable ride. The connections to the three transverse links per
wheel, on the other hand, are rigid in order to direct transverse forces into the
body with precision.

The Audi TT Coupe 2.0 TDI quattro and Audi TT Roadster 2.0 TDI quattro roll
on 16-inch, cast aluminum wheels fitted with 255/55 R16 tires. Behind the
wheels are large disk brakes with pads that develop large coefficients of
friction. The ESP stabilization program supports the neutral to slight
understeering feel of the TT—the finishing touch on an overall portrait of
exciting dynamics, exhilarating driving pleasure and stability you can count on.

Audi magnetic ride, a high-tech shock-absorber system available as an option,
is an adaptive system that resolves the traditional conflict of interests between
comfort and handling. A magneto-rheological fluid circulating in the shock
absorbers changes the direction of the magnetic particles within milliseconds
when electricity is applied; this alters the overall characteristics of the fluid and,
in turn, modifies the damping characteristic. The driver can choose between
"Normal" and "Sport" programs by flipping a switch.

Equipment makes a statement of refined style

Standard equipment for both of the new TT models reflects the sporty character
and refined style of the series. Faux aluminum accents add a shine to gray
inlays and various other components in the interior. The sports steering wheel
comes with a Nappa leather cover. The climate control system (standard for the
TT Coupe) regulates heating and ventilation in response to the level of sunlight.

The driver information system and chorus audio system round out the standard
equipment.

A wide array of high-tech equipment is available as options, including a highly
modern generation of audio devices, electrically adjustable front seats, the
adaptive light dynamic cornering light system and two navigation systems with
a user interface based on the Audi MMI concept—a cut above the competition.

<![CDATA[Totally Pointless Audi TTS Ad Has Us Scratching Our Heads]]> Okay, apparently whoever is doing the new ads for the Audi TTS is phoning it in, cause we have no idea what this commercial is trying to tell us. Is the TTS meant for periodic jaunty high speed runs in dry lake beds only to return for the awesome scenery? Perhaps the vaguely homo erotic undertones and selection of that sexy red paint is an attempt to target the elusive and lucrative gay market. Does the ad have a point? Is Audi actually trying to evoke something here? Doesn't seem like it.

<![CDATA[Detroit Auto Show: Audi TTS Coupe & Roadster Official Pics, Details]]> We've now got the official scoop and pics of the Audi TTS Roadster & Coupe that broke through the embargo shields on Tuesday, sans that horrible watermark from Motorpasîon. Confirming what we'd heard, the Audi's will get the more potent 2.0-liter Turbo FSI four banger good for 272 horsepower. This will give them a 0-62 time between 5.4 and 5.6 seconds for the coupe and roadster, respectively. They'll go on sale in the UK sometime around mid year.

Audi TTS Roadster & Coupe

• New even higher performance version of acclaimed TT sports car available in Coupé and Roadster body styles
• Debuts at the North American International Auto Show on January 13 and is expected to open for UK order in mid-2008
• Powered by an extensively modified version of the 2.0-litre Turbo FSI petrol engine delivering 272PS and peak torque of 350Nm between 2,500 and 5,000rpm
• Coupé (manual) 0-62mph in 5.4 seconds, limited 155mph top speed, 29.7mpg, Roadster 0-62mph in 5.6 seconds, limited 155mph top speed, 29.3mpg
• Suspension, steering and brakes revised to complement enhanced performance
• Standard Audi magnetic ride adaptive damping system for optimum handling composure

The 'S' emblem that spells extraordinary performance in the Audi range graces the TT for the first time this month in a new, even more focused version of the iconic sports car debuting at the North American International Auto Show (January 19-27). Destined for the UK in mid-2008 in both Coupé and Roadster body styles, the TTS earns its esteemed badge through the adoption of a specially developed, 272PS Turbo FSI petrol engine complemented by state-of-the-art chassis technology.

Extensive revisions to the acclaimed 2.0-litre turbo charged and directly fuel injected petrol engine that already powers the TT have enabled its power to be boosted from 200PS to 272PS and its torque from 280Nm to 350Nm, available between 2,500 and 5,000rpm. Linked to six-speed, close ratio manual transmission the enhanced unit slingshots the TTS Coupé from rest to 62mph in just 5.2 seconds, and on the Autobahn is only curtailed by its electronic limiter at 155mph. With the optional S tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission acceleration times are reduced by a further two-tenths of a second in both the Coupé and Roadster.

In addition to the evocative 'S' insignia, the most extreme production TT to date highlights its capabilities from the front through newly designed bi-xenon headlamps incorporating trademark Audi LED strip daytime running lights, a redesigned front apron incorporating larger air intakes and aluminium-look door mirror housings. The profile view is enhanced by deeper side skirts and exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels, which can be swapped for 19-inch alternatives at extra cost, while at the rear a revised rear bumper with - for the first time in a TT - four tailpipes protruding from its extended diffuser subtly conveys the newcomer's extra performance potential.

Inside, deep-set Alcantara and leather combination sports seats, exclusive 'S' instruments with white needles, metal pedals and special aluminium trim elements enhance the already very highly regarded sports interior.
Audi Space Frame (ASF)

Streamlined by its revolutionary lightweight Audi Space Frame aluminium and steel hybrid body shell, and pinned to the road by a comprehensively modified, quattro four-wheel-drive-equipped chassis, the new TTS has been designed to maximise the TT's inherent fun factor while retaining its safe, surefooted feel. Reworked power steering and enlarged brakes help the driver to profit fully from the exceptional performance, and to guarantee the highest degree of agility in all situations the space-age Audi magnetic ride adaptive damping system is fitted as standard.

The magnetic ride system's sophisticated dampers are filled with a magnetorheological fluid containing minute magnetic particles that can be influenced by an electromagnetic field. By applying a voltage to the system's electromagnets, the viscosity of the fluid is altered by the affected magnetic particles, increasing resistance to damper movement to iron out pitch and roll when necessary, and reducing resistance when ride comfort takes precedence.
The new sports model is not only notable as the first TT to become a member of the esteemed Audi 'S quattro series', which numbers extra special models such as the 450PS S8 quattro among its ranks. Significantly, it also debuts on the tenth anniversary of the TT, the Coupé version of which became an overnight sensation following its launch in 1998.

Judging from a new set of images, it'll also get the same LED headlamps as the RS6 Avant shown recently in Frankfurt. [World Car Fans]

<![CDATA[Swimming with the TTs: Intersection's Wet Audi Shoot]]> We have no clue how Intersection got Audi to sacrifice a new TT to the Olympic-sized gods in the name of fashion. But they did. Nnow, there's video documenting the submersion process and subsequent photo shoot. It is true that water plus models plus machinery usually equals a crime scene, in this case it turned out very nice indeed. [intersection]

<![CDATA[Audi Goes Swimming With Intersection]]> The cover of Intersection Magazine's summer issue features an Audi TT submerged in a swimming pool. Photographed by Robert Wyatt, the TT - a current model - was shot at the historic Chipping North Lido in Oxfordshire. After the 10-page shoot was completed the car was destroyed. Also featured in the issue - on sale July 24th - are the KTM X-Bow and Ford Airstream concept.

<![CDATA[With Or Without NSU]]>

Today we have decided that we would like nothing more this evening to blast off up the coast in a souped up NSU TT as the sun dips behind the waves of the blue, blue Pacific. Sadly, we have no NSU TT. We do, however, have this video of a bunch of TTs doing a hillclimb. So we'll just be content with that. We have met the melancholy and it is us.

<![CDATA[It's a Horsefest: Nothelle-tuned Audi TT]]>

Five hundred fifty horses under the hood of an Audi TT. Think about that for a minute, before reading the press release on the overleaf. German tuning house Nothelle says it's got a turbo kit for the TT's 3.2-liter V6 that boosts horsepower from 250 hp to 520 hp, and torque from 236 lb-ft to and 468 lb-ft. That, they say, translates to a V-max of around 191 mph. Aero kit, sport suspension and custom alloys complete the Porsche-stalking madness. Autobahn hoonage ensues.

Press Release:

Nothelle Audi TT: 520 Horsepower

* Aerodynamic kit
* Increase in performance for the 2.0 TFSI up to 330 HP
* World premiere: Rebuilt Turbo 3.2 V6 up to 520 HP and 635 Nm. Vmax approx. 308 km/h!
* Wheel design "NOVEDRA IX" in 9.0 x 20 inch in four available Finishes!
* Optionally Wheel design "NOVEDRA VII Sport" in 8.5 x 19 inch and multi-piece look

During this year, nothelle looks back on a forty-year history of vehicle individualization programs. Since 1967, the name nothelle has been affiliated with supreme engineering aesthetics. Nothelle offers an unmatched array of extensive experience far beyond any other company within this field. Hardly any other company has gathered such a wealth of experience. The refinement program for top-range Audi models meets the highest standards and combines experiences acquired from motor sports with the traditional nothelle values of quality and exclusivity. The enthusiasm for motor sports and innovative concepts is the foundation of the individualization programs for vehicles from Audi.

For it's anniversary year 2007, featured highlights offered from the nothelle program include extensive modifications for Audi TT, inculding both versions Coupé and Roadster.

Aerodynamic, Design, Sport Exhaust System
With the aim of giving the TT an individualized and emotionally expressive look, Nothelle offers a shaply aerodynamic kit for a perfect match to the Audi original design really spicing it up.

A three-piece front spoiler as well as other front apron air intakes (Double Frames) bestow the TT an expressive face. The nothelle side sill elements give the Audi TT a much sturdier profile building up a sort of lateral muscle mass look. In back, a rear apron in special nothelle design comes with complete, perfectly integrated end pipes extending from the silencer - which is offered by nothelle in combination with the rear apron - guaranteeing a super spine-tingling sound with very distinctive rear view. Perfect to the completion of the rear, nothelle provides a 3-part rear spoiler providing extra downforce and particularly at higher speeds, a better stabilization effect. Additionally, nothelle offers a roof spoiler, excluding however the Roadster version.

Sport Suspension System
Because reduction to the center of gravity results in better agility, nothelle offers a set of sport springs. This brings TT to about a 25 mm lowering. The high-end solution in nothelle program is a coilover suspension with integrated adjustable compression and rebound settings. The driver can choose from three different shock absorbing levels. The suspension strut housing is made of high value stainless steel, with anodized suspension plates and gaskets of Teflon. The material provides for long-lasting life and offers something for the eye as well. Not a bad investment, in terms of the pleasure endowed while taking those curves quick as a flash.

Motor Performance Increase
Matching the racier look, nothelle makes available more zest for the TT motor as well. The Ratingen (Germany) -based Audi specialists help the 2.0 TFSI Motor (series-produced 200 HP) to charge forwards with four different increase performance programs. From Chip tuning (+ 40 HP, + 75 Nm) through to complete rebuild (+ 130 HP, + 120 Nm) everything is possible. Then, nothelle drops the big one: A world premiere is celebrated for the 3.2 V6 being modified through twin turbo technology. This increases performance up to 520 HP and 635 Nm and a Vmax of approx. 308 km/h turning the TT from the underdog to a Porsche-killer per se! The conversion is available for manually shifted versions as well as for TT´s with DSG-transmission (direct shift gearbox). The conversion of course includes a reinforced clutch and a specially adapted gear transmission ratio. Because on one hand the sheer power should be transmitted without causing damage, and on the other hand it should enable a full gallop of the 520 ponies.

Light Alloy wheels
The superior, distinctive and modern design of the "NOVEDRA IX" is immediately noticable, due to its' complete self-containment. The nine spokes (hence "IX") consists of a broad basic design in which a slender ridge runs into the rim flange. The sporty dynamics of this perfectly-shaped masterpiece makes every vehicle look fast even while when just standing still. These are offered in 20-inch for the Audi TT by Nothelle.

Nothelle makes available no less than four different surface finishes. For variations "silver", "white", and "black" the spokes and rim flange are polished. Trendy again particularly for white vehicles is the white finish really standing out with an individualized look.

The variation "NOVEDRA IX brillant" features an elaborate, high-polished finish available by Nothelle through special ball-polishing techniques and high-polished clearcoat. Through these processes, the wheel not only receives its own individual non-imitable look, but possesses increased durability as well. The sealing of the surface occurs through a transparent baked-on lacquer finishing process. The attractive wheels are made available from Nothelle as a set with tires in sizes 255/30-20, contributed by its' technology partners Hankook and Continental.

The Nothelle wheels, manufactured from high-grade aluminum alloy, stand out because of their minimal weight. This means reduced unsprung mass, decreased wheel tramp resulting in increased driving comfort. Over and above this, large spacing between spokes guarantees prefect cooling of the brake system. For security aspects, a point not to be underestimated.

Also optionally is the Nothelle "NOVEDRA VII SPORT" wheel in multiple-parts look available in 8.5 x 19".

<![CDATA[Audi Clubsport Concept Could See Series Production]]>

According to German magazine, Stern, Audi could be preparing a short-run series based on its Clubsport Quattro Concept revealed last week. The mag reports 200 units of the short-windshield Audi TT roadster models could be built. No word on how true the production version would be to the concept, which sports a 300-horsepower version of Audi's 2.0-liter TFSI four, its S-Tronic (DSG) dual-clutch gearbox, 20" wheels and ceramic brakes. Whatever happens, we'd imagine the DOT will have something to say about that windshield.

<![CDATA[Audi Clubsport Quattro Concept]]>

Germany's AutoBild is the first to go to press with images of Audi's newest concept model, the Clubsport Quattro. It's a take on the new TT with cues taken from the Porsche 356 Speedster of old, with chopped glass, a virtually nonexistent A-pillar and a 300-hp version of the VW/Audi 2.0-liter TFSI mill, with Audi's S-Tronic (DSG) dual-clutch box trading gears. It gets its gumption from a more copious turbocharger, and it sports carbon ceramic brakes and 20" wheels of light alloy. Designers also fitted grillework last seen propped up behind home plate. Expect Audi to reveal full details, and high-res photos, soon.
