    I like the watercooled Lewis guns from The Great War. Although I'm not sure how effective a .30 caliber machine gun would be against anything other than unarmored people, though. And I'm guessing that changing those ammo drums with those fingers is a b****.

    Ya know, I actually liked the second transformers movie. It wasn't a masterpiece, but it was about exactly what I expected.

    For those who didn't like it, what were you expecting? It's a movie that will be popular with children about giant robots staring people who can't act and directed by someone famous for explosions and slow motion.

    True, the end fight was pathetic and that transformer chick was just disturbing, but there were some great camera angles.

    I went in there expecting big fighting robots, explosions, and Megan Fox.

    I got what I went for, and came out reasonably satisfied.

    I enjoyed the first. A lot. Transformers 2 was the most joyless, soul-crushingly, mind-numbingly awful experience. I was actually mad when I left the theater. It was worse than the Waterboy.

    Hopefully, it won't be as [pejorative] as the second installment. We know that there will be some [expletive] sweet explosions, but hopefully they won't be used as a [expletive] crutch for the lack of a decent [expletive] script.

    On the bright side, if Megan Fox continues the trend of being more and more scantily clad in each movie that she is in, she should be running around in lace lingerie in the third movie.

    I would definitely pay to see that.

    @skaycog: I dunno, variety is the spice of life.

    Sometimes it's nice to go slow and revel in the details, and sometimes it's nice to speed it up. It really all depends on the time constraints you have to work with.

    @Neener: Francis Scott Key came up with the words for the US National Anthem after witnessing the British Bombardment of Fort McHenry aboard a British ship in the War of 1812.

    The British were unable to overwhelm the Fort, and this was at the time credited to the strength, skill, resiliency, and iron will of the American soldiers manning the fort, which were seen as having saved the day.

    In retrospect, it wasn't the noble American characteristics listed above that saved the day, but rather the lousy aiming and poor gunnery skills demonstrated by the British, the extent of which was unheard of in the Royal Navy in that day and age.

    In summary, Fort McHenry was labeled as a saviour of the United States, just as the Volt is labeled a saviour of the new GM. In the end, it was luck that saved the United States, just as it will be luck that ultimately saves the new GM.
