The Chinese love the new Camaro, especially dressed up as Bumblebee from Transformers 2, evidenced by their unapologetic pledge to rally stripe any yellow car they can including our favorite, the Volkswagen Santana-maro one of many Bumblebee-flavored 'maro wannabes.

Over the weekend a group of Shanghainese got together to celebrate a visit by one of their Transformers idols, the Bumblebee-esque 2010 Camaro SS. To show their support, they've taken their yellow-painted cars and rally striped the hell out of them for a coordinated parade lap around the city. [via ChinaCarTimes]

When we showed you the first Chevy Volt pictures from the set of the new Transformers movie, we all wondered what character GM’s little earth-saving electric car would be. Well, his name is "Jolt."

It’s been a while since we last gave you a Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen update, so today we bring you the newest character in the TF2 lineup. We’ll give you some clues –- gleaned from the toy box these shots came from. He makes a habit of getting into trouble. He is chaotic and impulsive, always out for the next big adventure. If there is danger afoot, he is sure to find his way into the middle of it. Luckily, he’s got the fighting skills to get himself out of any binds he gets himself into. When he’s got his electro whips in his hands, he’s an almost unstoppable whirlwind of crackling energy. That’s right, GM’s halo car for all that is good will transform into an Autobot we've never heard of named Jolt. It just goes to show that the Volt really is out to save the world. Transformers 2 Caught At Air Force Base, Chevy Beat Bot To Be "Skids"

Looks like the crew of Transformers 2 was caught on-set in Arizona at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base along with a couple of the more robotic cast members — albeit while in their vehicle mode get-ups. Based on the plates, it looks like we're also able to put a name to the bot who will be played by the Chevy Beat: Skids. Despite our best efforts, we couldn't decipher the plate on the Chevy Trax, but that's okay because the upgraded Chevy Camaro will still be Bumblebee, and that's the only one we really care about anyway. Constructicon Vehicle Modes From New Transformers Movie Possibly Revealed

There was a report not too long ago about the possibility of Devastator showing up in the new movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Now it seems an Insider over at TFW200 claims they've got the laundry list of construction vehicles that'll make up the Constructicons, who together will form the mega-bot. If the list is accurate, and the insider hasn't yet been wrong, let it not be said that director Michael Bay thinks small, as the combined weight of these behemoths of industry tip the scales at well over 2.5 million pounds. That's a whole lot of pissed off robot. The entire list — there's apparently seven of them — along with images of the monster vehicular modes, below the jump.

O&K/Terex RH400 - Hydraulic Mining Excavator - (In red)

Tipping the scales at a sveltd 1,553,220 lbs, the RH400 is easily the heavyweight of the group, and in fact it's the largest hydraulic shovel in the world. This mining excavator is so big it actually has a rest area next to the operator's cab complete with microwave, coffee machine, a refrigerator and sleeping bunk. Given the size, this baby is probably a torso and an arm, a big monster arm at that, with that chomping shovel end too.

Caterpillar 992G - Wheel Loader - (In yellow)

Introduced in 1990, the 992G was for a time the largest articulated earth mover in the world. Completely outfitted, the 992G weighs in at over 204,000 lbs and can take 16-cubic-yard bites out of the earth. Perhaps useful as a leg, but really, a giant loader is useful anywhere.

Caterpillar 773B - Dump Truck - (In green)

The Cat 773B is a fairly standard heavy-duty off-road dump truck and can tote loads of about 50 tons all while tipping the scales at a scant 85,687 lbs. Positively gaunt compared to that hydraulic shovel. We're betting on a leg, perhaps some kind of transforming weapon, but with Bay, you can never really tell.

Mack Cement Mixer - (In silver and white)

Nothing to see here. It's a Mack cement truck, and considering the size of this thing relative to some of the other equipment, we're assuming Bay is using the Mack as a robot foot.

Komatsu HD465-7 - Articulated Dump Truck - (red)

The Komatsu HD465-7 is a step up in the dump truck department. With a 715 HP diesel engine and a 61-ton capacity, this 94,360 lb hauler is nothing to sneeze at; probably a leg or an arm, judging from the scale of the other vehicles.

Kobelco CK2500 - Truss Crane - (In yellow)

Able to dead-lift 250 tons, the CK2500 is certainly capable of some wanton destruction. We've got one thing in mind for this 458,600 lb crane: giant robotic mace arm. Oh, yeah, talk about Bay-style explosions and destruction; this thing is practically made for it.

Caterpillar D9L - Bulldozer - (In beige)

We can think of nothing better to act as a head for this brute than a Caterpillar D9L. This 107,000 lb earth mover is the choice of the world's militaries for mine clearing and heavy road-building operations. The D9L also possesses that which all truly bad-ass characters require — a strong jaw-line, or in this case, blade-line.

Transformers 2: Megatron Really a Tank?

Adding a smidgen of confirmation to rumors that Megatron will be a tank in next summer's Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen is this image of a villainous bot with tank treads. While it may just be a concept for a possible design, it definitely looks capable of some serious robo-butt-kicking. The Corvette Centennial had better watch its back. [via seibertron]

Report: Devastator, Seven Constructicons To Appear In Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen

In case red n' blue semis and military six-by-sixes didn't offer big enough robo-thrills in the last installment of Transformers, we've now read a report Devastator, a robot formed by "seven Constructicons" (different pieces of construction equipment), will be one of the Decepticons in next summer's Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Given Michael Bay's desire to keep giant transforming robots as realistic as possible, that many vehicles could yield a positively monstrous robot. A rendering of what "Long Haul," one of the seven, might look like, is further fanning the flames in the 'former forums already overrun with rampant flame-wars over the veracity of the claim. Of course, in the giant robot arms race, if one side has giant merging robot capabilities, you have to assume the other will step up to the plate in kind. Can somebody say "Aerialbots?" Transformers 2 Corvette Centennial Design Concept Caught Filming Action Scene

We were the first to reveal the true identity of the General Motors Corvette Centennial Design Concept, and now it's been spotted not just driving around, but in a full-on action scene. Followed closely by a camera car, as well as other GM product-placement-bots like Bumblebee and Ironhide, it's hard to tell if that mean exhaust note you hear is coming from the 'Vette or not, but either way, we're just glad to see it's fully functional. The Nissan GT-R may be known as Godzilla, but Japanese toymaker Takara-Tomy sees the supercar more as a super robot. Don't get too excited: This 1/32 scale model doesn't mean you'll be seeing the GT-R on the big screen in Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen. Nope, this is just a toy, for now at least. New Set Pics From Transformers 2 Show Audi R8 Buddying Up With "Corvette Concept"

A TFW2005.com reader snapped off a couple more set shots from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The shots not only show off some serious pyrotechnics in play, but we're also treated to a tiny glimpse of an Audi R8 cast as something in the movie. We're assuming it's a bad guy, considering there's no GM badge plastered on the quarter panel. Also lurking in the murky shots is the Corvette-like concept, a couple of Hummers, and a semi truck too dark to positively ID as Prime himself.

You want to know what amazes us the most? For some reason Transformers 2 fan-boys go to the set to ogle the goings-on and yet they only bring the crappiest cell-phone cameras. Seriously, do none of you guys even have a point-and-shoot? [TFW2005]

Yes, That's A Saturn Astra On The Set Of Transformers 2

Leaked screenshots from the set of Transformers 2 continue to trickle in. With a movie that has the likes of the Camaro SS, Saab Aero-X, Hummer HX and more, it's a bit odd seeing this seemingly plain-jane Saturn Astra hatchback roaming around the set during filming. Well, as odd as can be in a movie all about the product placement.

There's no word whether this vehicle will serve as a Transformer or just an "extra," but right now our best guess tells us it's more likely an "extra." The clue are the bullet holes which tend to indicate human interaction with the vehicle rather than robotic — that would show up, we'd assume, as laser or "plasma" burns. We're thinking the special GM paint can deflect mere bullets.

Transformers 2 Gets A Name: Revenge Of The Fallen

We've already had a number of reports on the new Transformers 2 movie — from the Hummer HX to the Chinese Malibu — but it seems the second new movie about everyone's favorite ~~Chevygasm~~ robogasm now has a name beyond "the deuce." Apparently, a blurb and graphic on Hasbro's web site indicates the name for the new movie will be "Revenge Of The Fallen." Oooh, sounds scary! It also sounds like perhaps "Jazz" might be back for this second go-around. Although we don't want to totally geek out here, we have heard other options on reasons for the title including something to do with "Vector Prime." We guess we'll see. But, for you film geeks (Bumblebee, we're looking at you) we do have something really cool you might want to see — a potential look at a rendering of what the hottest Autobot ever —"Arcee" — might look like, after the jump.

Now we don't expect this to actually "be" Arcee. But it'd be pretty cool if it were. [Latino Review]
