While I did chuckle, it really sucks to be over there right now, their unemployment rate is the highest in Europe, at 18%. Sadly, that joke is more true than not :(
@UglyDuckCar: I know what you mean. I spent some time there in the late 90s, and unemployment was one of the most common complaints, especially among young people. I think UE was running about 10% in Spain, 7-8% in the rest of Western Europe. And that was considered pretty good.
@.357 Lost The Fuckin Star, Eh: Better in the name of art than because he's a jackass who should have his license revoke (see - cause of most traffic).
@.357 Lost The Fuckin Star, Eh: I am sure he got permission to do this, and there can't be that many people commuting to and from that isolated mountain home.
To paraphrase Ash78 paraphrazing a movie: the words "artist" and "art installation." You keep using these words, I do not think they mean what you think they mean.
@Thornton888: Congestion is also an "environmental" impact. I believe the point he is making is that today, there are still places where you can go and not see another human, such as mountains. However, in the future as people multiply, these places will become less common.
@madcows: non compos mentis methane machine: Cars are blocking the environment from getting to work on time. Now the environment has missed it's morning meeting and is fired. As a last act of revenge, the environment turns up the thermostat two degrees, making the work environment slightly less comfortable for everyone left in the office. It's so obvious.
I don't own a car. I use public transportation. It's okay, I read until I reach my destination. Sometimes the paper, Sometimes a book. The amount of money I save, This shit is off the hook

I've called myself an "artist" on many occasions, only to have the police come and tell me it's not art- it's a felony.
