    So as the Onstar system will tell you where to get another greasy cheeseburger to clog your arteries, will this system guide you to the nearest Panera Bread so you can have a lite lunch as you cruise about in your Camry?


    ...As an added bonus to Lexus drivers, Zagat's best-in-breed restaurant content will also be available via Destination Assist.


    Oh, I guess not. So Toyota drivers will have to search endlessly for healthy food, while Lexus drivers get to have advise as to where to eat provided for them.


    I tell you what Jalopnik. I would be more than happy to test this system out and see what type of support they can provide. Please. I'll go pick up the Lexus, test drive it, abuse the in car services, and write woefully about how the in car assistant couldn't guide me to the nearest massage parlor or gentlemens club that has particularly homely women with loose morals, many of whom would be impressed by a man with a car that talks.


    Plus for those of you whom know what it is I do for a living, I'm sure I can void the warranty by attaching a variety of Thermofrazzes to it.

    @TurboWeasel: I'm not paranoid, I just remember seeing an article on how you can use a cellphone to eavesdrop, and I was wondering if the same could be done with this.

    @baldy_pm: GM is looking to be the loss-leader in every category, trucks, cars, telematics, and so forth. They overheard part of Wal-Mart's strategy and didn't realize that some vehicles must be profitable for this to work, Wagoner said "loss-leader across the board, that'll increase sales."
