Sorry if I'm snoring. But I think that guy's shirt is far worse than the Prius...

Even with the fancy gadgetry, the interior quality at least still looks cheap.

And how big is its owner's manual compared to other cars? It seems every car now comes with a manual about the size of a phone book. And they now contain even less information about how to maintain and repair the car than ever before.

It's fun to make fun of the Prius. But how about comparing its learning curve to that of iDrive?

@Van Sarockin, rogue trebuchet: Hell, I've run into cases where they don't tell you the goddamn fluid capacities. How much windshield washer will it take? WHO KNOWS?!

@Van Sarockin, rogue trebuchet: What "learning curve" are you talking about?

Driving it is, quite literally, exactly the same as driving any other car. Changing the oil? normal. Transmission fluid? Drain and fill it, like a differential, after 100k miles. Coolant? That lasts 100k miles, too. So will your brake pads, actually.

And the manual is as far as memory serves exactly the same size as that of the '96 Camry or the '92 Previa.

I love vanilla because of its purity, and the fact that you can add to it for near-infinite customization.

This is like French Vanilla. Off-white, full of nasty egg yolks and chemicals, and you can't make it any better by adding anything.

@RC51: It'd be a waste of a good engine. Nothing could save the Prius from life-threatening levels of bland. Not even the almighty LS9.

@wrx-tyrannosaurusWrx: See, I tend to disagree with you.

I've always thought that'd be a good idea. And I'm not one of the people that thinks everything needs a smallblock. A Prius with a smallblock isn't so much a random wrenching project as a twisted commentary on the automotive industry.

It'd be the kind of art car I could get behind.

Kinpolaj's had like 40 articles about the Prius in the last couple days, I wonder how we can revert back to Jalopnik...
