Toyota's long-missing sports car was just revealed moments ago in Los Angeles for a crowd of journalists and enthusiasts. But they're not calling it a Toyota, they're calling it the Scion FR-S and they just announced it's going on sale next spring. UPDATED!

Yesterday we told you that the highly anticipated Toyota FT-86 concept will be called the GT 86 when it debuts at the Tokyo Motor Show next week. Today we can tell you something else about the GT 86—it looks fantastic on the track.

After a freaking eternity of teasers and concepts, we've now learned the Toyota FT-86 will be called the Toyota GT 86 when it debuts at next week's Tokyo Motor Show and goes on sale next year (it'll supposedly be called the Scion FR-S here). You didn't think they'd call it the FT-86, did ya?

Our friends over at FT86Club got their hands on a Toyota FT-86 / Scion FR-S / Subaru BRZ training sheet and we finally have a look at the specs of the most anticipated sports car in a long time. Just expect some aspects to get lost in translation coming over the Pacific as a Scion FR-S.
