I feel worse for Kamui Kobayashi than for anyone else, including Yamashina.
But it would be fun to see a Japanese driver in a Ferrari some day... #formulaone
It's not like Kobayashi was from a rich family so he can't continue in motor sports without someone coming to him. A normal dude with exceptional talent having go into a regular sushi job now.
With so much talent that's not right. #formulaone
Does this mean that whoever comes along to pick up the pieces gets to be F1's winner next year? That worked out pretty well for Brawn and Button.
I had a good deal of respect for Toyota, working hard in the trenches, not making much progress, but keeping at it. I guess they really would like to spend more time with their family for a while. Sayonara, guys.
If they had done the KERS thing, then they could have made some face saving noise about how they were going to focus on integrating all the good stuff they learned on the race track into their passenger cars. #formulaone
Well, it is sad to see them go, because at least they were a good middle of the pack performing team. I always hoped that they would figure it out and break through but it was for not. I hope they will at least be an engine suplier for some more of the daring private teams to come on board. #formulaone
I wish American executives took their business this personally. And were willing to make their feelings public, if they actually have any. They always come off as aloof, like everything happens in a vacuum and there's never any personal stake in anything. It's no wonder they're so willing to outsource their core business to the lowest bidder. #formulaone
He is crying for himself given that in the Japanese culture nothing is worse than losing face. Because of this failure, Chairman Tadashi Yamashina will be relegated to some low level job of no importance, his new office will be in a closet and will be shunned for the rest of his life; but don’t worry all is not lost, in Japanese society he can redeem his self and save face by committing suicide. #formulaone
@Flathead Smith: Am I the only one here who legitimately feels a little bad for the guy? It's not entirely his fault that they didn't win... #formulaone
