I hate this new look with the grill/intake at the leading edge of the hood that GM is using on all their cars. It may give a unique look, but I doubt it's a real inlet, because of aerodynamics, but it will still catch a lot of air and and cause excessive drag, hurting MPG's. (This area is the highest aerodynamic pressure area on any car, and should be as smooth as possible.) ... *continues mumbling to self; "if I had just worked a little harder in school and become a GM designer..."*

WTCC? I know that BTCC stands for British Touring Car Championship, but what's this? The Welsh Touring Car Championship? Western Sahara? Neither of those is even a real country.

But then again, that's not a real Chevy either.

If you want to see some true track battles BTCC is more impressive than WTCC,I think Chevy will struggle up against SEAT & BMW. Maybe if they do well they may get more respect as a brand,as most people still associate them as Daewoo. Both forms are still more thrilling to watch the F1.

As far as shopping carts go, this could race in that category as well, it already has the handle on the back!

@TR3-A: Most current touring cars series run nothing but FWD, FIA Super 2000 spec cars, and the racing is often very good.

However......if you insist on bitterly clinging to your rear wheel drive and V8 engines, then here's where you can get that fix.

Why can't we have a version of this here? Seems way more apt than NASCAR to actually sell the cars being raced. Weird concept, I know. But there are far more tracks that could accommodate WTCC than NASCAR/Indy/F1.

@The Name's Ash78, Housewares: We do, but it's run by the SCCA, who suck at marketing and promotion, and the races are only televised by Speed, when they aren't airing Pinks, Wrecked and the other stuff that I won't watch.

@SCROGGZILLA RAIDS AGAIN!!: Amen! Remember the NATCC? I don't remember if that was organized by SCCA or some remnant of IMSA but the result was the same. Bust.
Chrysler got all geared up with their Stratus based car and... not much happened after that.
I think it survived for maybe two seasons before going belly up. I saw them at Lime Rock and the track manager told me how unimpressed he was with any pro series that couldn't lap the track faster than a formula ford.

@SlowMo: The NATCC was an Indy car affiliated series (USAC maybe), which ran under the old Supertouring rules (2 ltr max displacement, no turbos, very stock). Nuthin but Accords and Stratus's (Stratusii?), often with no more than 15 cars in a field. Reputedly, both cars were developed on the cheap and were no faster than Indy lites around the same circuit. I think the NATCC is where David Donahue (son of Mark) got his start. A good idea, badly executed.
