    I was walking with my wife in Oct 2004 in front of Buckingham palace, enjoying a balmy (dry) night on our honeymoon. Just then, the royal stormtroopers converged on our area and I was ready to be arrested for loitering or something. Turns out they were just forming a human barrier as the Queen was heading out on a 9pm shopping trip or something. We actually got to see her in this high-roof Bentley from about 50 yards away. Very cool experience that many people have to wait in crowds all day to see. Apprently these surprise trips are good for security, since nobody can plan her movements.
