    The MP4 24 might be a bit slow to start the season, and as much as I love me some 917 action, any F1 car would blow that thing (and dear old Steve) by Tetre Rouge, if not sooner. The times have changed.


    Yes, I would like to see it, and that segment didn't creep me out as much as I thought that it would.

    While the first automatic watch I wanted to own was a Tag Heuer Pilot, I came to my senses and went instead with an Omega Speedmaster triple-date, in stainless, natch.


    Any timepiece maker who goes on to make battery-powered quartz devices turns immediately into a Timex wannabe.


    Still, I wouldn't mind having a Casio Pathfinder and a Citizen world time whatchamacallit.


    Beater watches, if you will.

    I don't have enough fingers to count how many times I've done that to friends and (accidentally) strangers.


    Pull up, lights off, AC off, either nudge the back of their legs or blat the horn right quick, and make sure you have an understanding with everyone that's facing you... There's a science to it.


    Probably the best time I've hit someone while "silent running", the one pseudo-accident, I was driving from the store next to a quintessential frat kid bar, and some blonde sorority gal was walking in the middle of the road. I thought it prudent to kill the iPod and follow as closely to her as possible. This went on for a good twenty seconds, headlights on, when eventually I misjudge and nudge her in the leg a bit, which prompts her to turn around and yell "I'm so sorry!"


    I'm still trying to make sense of that. She's apologizing because I hit her with my car?
