Not only do two of the seats disappear in sunlight, so does the entire center console! I see people running off the road left and right as they press their face to the glass with hand over forehead looking for their A/C settings.
I think Elon Musk just got so excited that he could literally make anything up for his vaporware car that he decided to throw in the 7-seat thing for shits and giggles. "Yeah, we're putting a rumble seat in the trunk."
Also heard at the unveiling?
"Gets your whites whiter"
"Makes the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs"
"Runs great on compressed air"
"Made in Germany, you know the German's make great stuff"
Elon Musk is busting his ass to try and find out Henrik Fisker is really making his cars work. He can't figure out the "trick" and it is driving him mad...
Elon Musk will figure out a way to create an "electric" sedan but the "trick" will be that it is powered by aborted kittens... meanwhile he will freak out even further once he realizes Henrik Fisker has a twin and they have been gaming him the whole time. Those engine sounds being produced by a speaker? those are really engine sounds...
I love how a car that seats 7 really has five seats. I also love how direct sunlight makes the center screen useless.
Out of curiosity, does anybody agree with me that as nice and intuitive touch screens are (my cellphone is an LG Dare) I don't think they should really be used to cover all center stack functions. In my car now, I know where all my buttons are just by feel and can change settings on the fly. With a touch screen I need to actually look down at where im pointing taking my eyes off the road. The same happens when i text because i need to see my fingers hit the right key. I don't know, while its one thing for nav systems to be touch screen, to have everything touch screen seems dangerous and really annoying (especially if the screen breaks rendering the entire center stack useless. Any opinions?
@Bullitt417: I want buttons on everything. I can't stand touch screens. I have these big sausage fingers and I never really know what I'm typing. I want to push a button and get a response, not smudge a screen and hope it goes well.
@Bullitt417: Granted this isn't touch screen so much as it is replacing physical gauges with an LCD, but Garmin has been doing the same thing in aircraft for awhile now.
Any idea from where they are sourcing those interior bits and pieces? And I apologize if this has been provided in an earlier post, I've been the proverbial one-legged man in an ass-kicking contest today.
Anyway, that looks like VW/Porsche lights switchs/steering wheel there.
Kinda looks like a Maserati up front... OK. I'll take one. But only if it comes with a landau roof. And not one of the cheap ones. One of the vinyl kind. With leather grain.
@Pessimippopotamus is at 0% productivity: Aha! You've stumbled upon another fundamental problem with all-electric cars. With no with no carbon monoxide to asphyxiate them, you'll have to kill your trunk hookers yourself!
@Smells_Homeless: Just install KERS system on yours. Just by having them touch the sheetmetal, you can instantly convert your live hookers into dead ones!
I am very disappointed that the capabilities of this car don't include bringing back the dead, bringing back the grateful dead, a free unicorn with every car sold, correctly guessing winning lotto numbers, a threesome with Brad Pitt/Angelina Jolie, and a cure for ED that doesn't run the risk of a 3-hour erection. Because all the other claims seem just as plausible.

Was the interior designed by Buffalo Bill?
