No, naptime isn't until after you've finished the fender flares. You want milk and cookies? Well, make sure it's ready for the Geneva show and then you can have some.
Looks like California has really loosened up its child labor laws. They probably aren't even represented by the IG Kindergarten union. But I bet those nimble little fingers are great for get the little details right.
@new22003: If only this were true, we could look forward to his ouster as CEO.
Sadly, in the analogy of Tesla to Vector, Musk has taken the role of Wiegert's Indonesian investors, and poor Eberhard is left in the Wiegert role of deposed founder.

Admitedly, I haven't been following this too closely, but how far is the Model S from production, really? There has been one sitting in their showroom in Menlo Park for the last few months or so...
@Scandinavian Flick misses the 2nd page of...: it was done quite a while ago...in Detroit. they closed the Detroit office and started over. Elon hated Detroit. Ironic that for his company to surive he had to hire Detroiters to run it (now).
@Comrade Clockwork: You ignorant clod, Tesla shipped 109 cars to customers in July for a slight profit. (Separate from the government funds for the Model S.)
A new American car company is selling an innovative sports car, it has a beautiful prototype for a more mass market car, and yet all it gets from fume-snorters is derision. What is wrong with America-hating losers on this site?!?
@skierpage: So by pointing out the obvious - Tesla is struggling to bring products to market and continues to miss targets and deliver on promises - I hate America? I spose your next question is going to be why I support Death Panels in Healthcare reform.
@Comrade Clockwork:
You've certainly got the soviet double-speak down. The Roadster is being produced in volume at a profit, so "don't have any cars built" and "is struggling to bring products to market" aren't true.
Maybe you're referring to the Model S, which was announced June 2008, and a running prototype revealed March 2009. That's reasonable progress, and to my knowledge Tesla has not announced a production date. So "continues to miss targets" is also untrue. It's not like there's a shortage of valid criticisms you can make about Tesla (Musk seems like an ass, Roadster transmission development was a disaster, they shafted early customers on price, etc.).
@skierpage: Tesla has not announced a production date
Sorry. At the March unveiling, Musk was reported saying limited quantities of the Signature version will go on sale starting in 2011, and "Tesla is planning production of up to 20,000 Model S sedans yearly, once manufacturing at its planned plant ramps up fully in mid-2012". We'll see.
@skierpage: I am aware the Model S is due in 2011. I was talking about Tesla as a whole having trouble getting cars out the door. If you think otherwise you either:
A) Work for Tesla
B) Are trolling
C) Can't appreciate an overly generalized comment for comedic effect.
Tesla has a hard job coming first to market, but I call it like I see it: They are having a rough go of it. They haven't done themselves any favors trying to promise the moon and cover their failures either.
And you still haven't addressed why disparaging Tesla makes me and others "America-hating losers". I haven't heard a retort that juvinile outside of the Youtube message boards in a while.
@Comrade Clockwork: You and others persist in saying things that are demonstrably not true about Tesla (or were true but aren't true any more), and seem incapable of taking modest patriotic pleasure at the reality of a new American car company making breakthrough performance cars. No other country sells a freeway-legal electric car in significant numbers. I'm sorry if the impression you make isn't the real you.

Crayons and expensive molding clay! I guess the indians / chinese / japanese contract workers got too expensive.. with food and and all.
I guess it doesnt help that all they do is sit around and screw off..
I guess they are taking lessons from GM / Fiatsler.
