    I know the general sentiment here on NASCAR, so excuse me for trolling a bit.


    Isn't more impressive to see the same guys at the front of a level playing field than to see Mr. Button dominate the field with superior equipment?

    @jbownsabmw and Will Work For Fuel: NASCAR and F1 bore me for opposite reasons.


    NASCAR boils straight down to racing skill, which is distinct from driving skill or car preparation. Pit stops and how to race in traffic are key. Of course, the problem is, it's no more entertaining than your local dirt 1/2 mile.


    F1 is the pinnacle of car technology and driving skill, but the actual racing isn't all that entertaining to watch after you get over just how incredible the tech and skill are.


    That said, almost any racing gets tedious if you're watching for 3-4 hours straight.

    With what seems to be an ever-shrinking correlation between winning on Sunday and selling on Monday, this probably makes good business sense. It isn't going to improve relations with the "Not gonna buy a Guv'mint Motors" crowd, however, as those demographics would seem to overlap a bit.
