Wow, so much tension and anger from John Connor.

It's small wonder he blew his top so insanely on set.

Here's hoping that the Terminators get their f**king lights trashed, in this movie and the next two to come.

    Good times.

@shenanigans: Considering the human cyborg, and the direction of TTSC, I don't think all out war will be the outcome, something more along a cylon guerrilla war, with "replacments" or in skynets mind "improvments"

I'm gonna have to see this and Wolverine, in the SAME SITTING to make up for the shit-fest that was Watchmen. I mean, it was good for a storyline, but it needed much more action/explosions/slow mo etc.

The robots are probably going to lose in this movie.

Seeing as the red light is highly unlikely to be a brake light (Saftey?) it would be the red eyes of the Terminator Bike. So the front is on the right side of the photo...

I see the logic behind everyone's assumptions that the front is to the right in this pic, but if you look closely, you can see the cylinder block and gearbox side cover of the donor bike, and they strongly suggest that the wheel to the left is the front one.

Perhaps the Special FX guys have made the bike rear-steer?

@Mike the Dog: This bike turns via 'anime rules', where bikes don't need the front wheel to pivot through a headstock, the entire bike just leans to turn everywhere. Then again, there could be enough clearance between the 4 .30 cal guns on front for the wheel to turn at least some.

It's pretty obvious the right side is the front; you can make out the machinery mimicking the form of a human tucking in (the spine bits, the ribs, the hips and legs, etc.)

@Mike the Dog: Where you have the air cooling notation, that is a knee, the round point up and to the left is a hip... follow the lines of a body already sitting on the bike with the ankles at the rear hub, left wheel. Three spikes are ribs red lights eyes, piston pointing down where front forks would be, on right, is a forearm... Guaranteed this thing will stand up like a transformer into a robot and everyone will go 'woh' then will trash it in the blogs and forums later.

on another note, under and to the right of the far left wheel, that looks like an under slung mono shock used in rear applications such as Springers. Just squint your eyes at the image until it blurs into a blob and you can see the form of a sport bike traveling to the right.

@howman: I see the knee, and even what looks like a monoshock (I did say I could see the others' points about the anthropomorphic details), but behind the knee is what is pretty obviously a cylinder block. If the left hand wheel has a swingarm too (not unheard of but not common on steered wheels) that would explain the monoshock at that end. I still think there's too much crap around the right hand wheel for it to be a steer wheel, while the left hand wheel looks like it could easily be steered. I'm sure all will be answered as more spoilers leak in the time leading up to me not going to see this movie.

Perhaps the world's highways weren't destroyed by nukes. These bikes would be great for that task. Unfortunately, once the going gets rough:

    1) The ride height on the terminator bike is too low. I think the best bike to emulate would be a BMW R1200GS or a Suzuki V-Strom. Some heavy duty dual sport chassis.

    2) Tires. Not suitable for heavy terrain, and rubber doesn't hold up too well against roads strewn with shrapnel.

    3) The wheels... less empty space between the spokes, maybe a completely solid wheel would do better at shedding the human leg bones that might get stuck between the spokes.

    I do like these things:

    1) The motorcycle is probably electric powered, 2 wheel drive. I was wondering about the need for standard brakes, but it's not like a terminator needs to save fuel, as it runs off a reactor.

2)Articulation! Did you notice the 'spinal column'? Hopefully it has both vertical (up and down) and horizontal (like a snake) articulation. That would do wonders for its ability to move and stay stable.

@Turkina: I think we are meant to see a human-like form here.

Follow me from right to left: The glowing red as the eyes, the spine and the butt sticking up a little, leading into the Z-shape of the legs. You could even infer the rib cage.

I think it is meant to frighten in how human-like these terrifying machines can be. This also seems to be a major theme of the movie.

Oh, Goody! A Transforminating motorbike, YAY! Oops, I meant to say YAWN there. The rear end would (I guess) be the end with the red light (the right). As for motive power? It runs on the psychic energy generated by the collective suspension of disbelief present in the theater.

Those would appear to be machine guns mounted on the side. Assuming they fire forward the front faces towards the right. Unless they are some sort of future laser tech there appears to be about 5 seconds of ammo capacity on this thing. Of course I can't find the engine in the picture either so maybe it is a moot point.
