Most relevant: The Rise of Grassroots Motorsports. Why? Because driving $500 beaters is the only way we're going to survive the Carpocalypse. Now if only we were allowed to equip them with mideval seige weapons....

How about the real Grassroots Motorsports? You know the magazine that is celebrating their 25th year of publishing? The ones that started with the $1500 Challenge in 1999 and have progressed to $2009 to spend on a vehicle that can autocross, drag race and look nice enough to be published in a magazine?

I'm just wondering what the last few days of 2008 are going to bring. I don't know why, but I expect some more weirdness before it is over.

@The Name's Ash78, Housewares: And again, Jalopnik is not something that you just dump something on. It's not a big truck. It's a series of tubes. And if you don't understand, those tubes can be filled and if they are filled, when you put your message in, it gets in line and it's going to be delayed by anyone that puts into that tube enormous amounts of material, enormous amounts of material.

There should be a ten best automotive forum topic list. For example, "The Claw" story about the Canadian car thief, the M3 ebay winner, the Acura NSX guy.

Maybe 10 best forum stories could be a topic. For example, "The Claw" in Canada, the guy who didn't get the M3 when he won the bid, and the Acura NSX guy.

@layabout save trees,eat_a_beaver: The Kinoff Lambo is too big for a single year to contain; instead it must occupy lists of the Greatest Stories of the Decade or even Century.

@layabout save trees,eat_a_beaver: There should be a separate list for fave stories of the year. The Lambo under the stairs should ace pretty high on that kind of list.

@The Name's Ash78, Housewares: In the distant future, it shall be referred to The Imhoff and His Devine Basement Lambo. Each year, during the Festival of the Devine Basement Lambo, a pilgramage will be made to the sight of the Devine Lambo's birth, where offerings of precious, high-viscosity lubricants and jewel-encrusted Weber carbeurators will be made. Temple priestesses will sing songs of double de-clutching in praise of the Devine Basement Lambo. At the climax of the festivities the Devine Basement Lambo will emerge from it's temple, it's mighty engine will once again roar to life blessing the true believers with it's holy hydrocarbons. All hail the Devine Basement Lambo, and have a Merry Imhoffmas!
