I saw this thing in person and it looks like complete garbage the exposed carbon hood is peeling and fading the rear lexan looks hand made as it attached using hardware store silver drywall screw and the inside looks like the car may have been stolln and worked on in the poorly lit backyard of a house in redlands. Not to mention they didnt bother to paint the exposed interior to match instead leaving a patchwork of factory red. This is epic POS

@BrAff: your comment: MEGA LAME. Any race car out there built by any company hoping to generate sales from it's exposure that does'nt take the couple hours it takes to at the very least epoxy flat grey the interior at the bare minimum, and I say bare minimum deserves to be looked down on. It shows a lack of professionalism not to mention this is a 70K car, not some 500 dollars 1991 integra at a local scca race and even most of those put forth at least that much effort. I've built plenty of them myself and worked for shops that have buikt many more. If you think I'm wrong go to SEMA or any large gathering of racing vehicles and find one chances are someone in the industry or not is standing next to it shaking there head making the same remarks, cool guy.

@Bentoboxx, Now part owner of General Motors: yeah because I said any of that, but if you build something that looks like it has a salvage title people are going to look at it that way, so go ahead buy a skyline and use screws instead of regular window moulding to attach the rear windows. Oh and dont paint the last inch at the edge flat black so every can see you used black roofing caulk to seal them

@Alexander Card: You are right. I saw on the blog that the car is being loaded for the race up in Newfoundland and the team said they don't have a chance of winning cause the interior doesn't match. Here it is going very slow because the car doesn't look perfect.

I wonder what the gearing is like on GT-Rs. Nissans seem to be designed for quick acceleration but seem to die out towards the top end. From videos I've seen of GT-Rs, they're barely off the line and they're already shifting into second.

And take the ZR-1 for example, slower to 60, by quite a bit compared to this car, but it hits the quarter-mile in 11.2 seconds at 130.5mph, according to Motortrend anyway.

Nevertheless, I'm always surprised by the speed of the GT-R given how heavy it is, but then I suppose the AWD in this car really does help. I'm curious to know how much this version weighs; looking at the mods I'm guessing in the range of 100lbs.
