Since these mighty Mopars are going to be limited production, you gotta prove you're worthy. First, you're required to submit your application in writing to a dealer, who will then fax it to Mopar Motorsports' secret lair. Keep in mind that this is all first-come first-served, so you probably want to get a fax confirmation to make sure your paperwork went through. But what qualifications will buyers have to meet?

It's recommended that potential buyers have "a current Competition License or sanctioning body affiliation prior to ordering their vehicle." So, n00bs need not apply. That's because Mopar wants to put their best foot forward with the Drag Challenger. They've even specified that the "buyer is encouraged to have the Challenger Drag Pak vehicle in competition within a reasonable amount of time." We're assuming that's also to weed out any speculating collector-types, as the profit margin on the vehicles will likely be slim to none. Besides, nobody should ever take a brand new race car and seal it in a bubble in a locked garage. [Mopar via Allpar]

<![CDATA[Not Fair! Edmunds Drags Out The Dodge Challenger Super Stock Concept]]> Seriously, there's nothing more for me to say here other than — this is totally not fair! I'm going to go and pout in the corner now. The rest of you can go read the piece over at Edmunds InsideLine and check out the tire-burning video they've got up from Josh Jacquot's time at "Mopars At The Strip." When you're done doing that, we're pretty sure we'll see you over here in the corner with us.

<![CDATA[Autorama-Lama-Ding-Dong: Dodge Challenger Super Stock Is Back...In Black!]]>

Remember the Challenger Super Stock from SEMA? Yeah, that one. Well, we made an early entrance to Cobo Hall today for Autorama, and happened upon some MoPar sexiness in the form of that same Super-duper Stock concept — oh yes, it's back, and in matte black with gloss black stripes. Otherwise this Chrysler Skunkwerks-designed Super Stock's the same — 6.4-liter fuel-injected Hemi utilizes 10.5:1 compression, twin-plug cylinder heads, forged pistons, a forged crankshaft and forged connecting rods to generate 525 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. The SW engineers made significant changes to the LX platform on which both the original Challenger concept and the production car are based to create the Super Stock. Most significant is the absence of the platform's independent rear suspension. That's right, it's got a live axle, complete with — no joke here — leaf springs. We're told that's to reduce wheel hop and improve straight-line performance. Topping it all off is a set of Mark Williams axles to improve the durability of that back-ass end. All in all, as you'll see from the gallery, it looks even sexier today than when we saw it back in October. We'll have more from Autorama throughout the weekend, so stay tuned to the tag to keep up-to-the-minute.

<![CDATA[SEMAture Ejaculation: More On The Dodge Challenger Super Stock]]> Well, we weren't the only ones with a bit of a "staying problem" — it seems that some of the folks over at the Allpar forums couldn't hold it in either over the Dodge Challenger Super Stock. So for those of you who want another taste of the Mopar before the official pics come out later today — follow the gallery below and check out the link to Allpar to find a series of speculations over the new concept. Oh yes, and they've also got a video. [Hat tip to Zerin!]

<![CDATA[SEMAture Ejaculation: The Mopar-Enhanced Dodge Challenger Super Stock]]> I did my best teamster impression, slipping in unnoticed among the union worker bees into the cavernous Las Vegas Conference Center last night, looking to snag a sneak peek of whatever SEMA sexiness I could find. And I hit the bonus multiplier: shots (albeit a bit herky-jerky — a flash would have drawn too much attention) of Dodge's Challenger Super Stock show car, cast in an amerigasm of red white and blue (gallery, sans tarp, via the link below). We'll be at SEMA all week, so don't forget to visit our SEMA mini-site or drop the feed into your favorite RSS reader.
