I'm pretty sold. If i were a groovy guy who wanted to get groovy laid (?) back in 1969, I'd put Su-BAR-u on my list. Oh, wait, that's Mercury.

    Cheap and Ugly FTW!

I don't know about the rest of you, but I ALWAYS pause to put on my driving gloves after trotting across the beach barefoot and shirtless and sitting down on those hot vinyl seats... but, oh, gotta love how those seats recline...!

I'd rock that FC pickup all day long. Then again the 'concave racing roof, with racing stripe' is hard to pass up. Also have to give props to the ad agency for featuring the out of control corner footage as superior handling!

The 360 really looks like the child of a Cinquecento and a Käfer.

And this, folks, is one reason why the US was very slow to accept small econoboxes--ugly and unsafe. And can you imagine how people reacting to the friggin' spare tire in the engine compartment? Insanity.

A friend of mine purchases a 71 or 72 model, just a sedan or hatchback-looking thing and it honestly wasn't bad--quite a few steps up from the ones here. I was driving a Renault R10 at the time, much cheaper in build but pretty sporty and more attractive--I wouldn't have swapped. It was a long time before I knew anyone else who had a Subie.

Check out the camber on those rear tires coming around the turns. Wow. That's....unstable-looking.

"SooBARoo." I don't think I'd take it over that jump for fear of blowing out those bicycle tires. The truck is nifty, but those van seats would never survive a crash.

What kind of car is that Pontiac at 4:54? Does it have a Camino bed?

Cool video, and I love how they pronounced suBAru the proper, Japanese way.
