Gymkhana: it's all about driving hard, doing stunts, and being EPIC HARDCORE AWESOME. What if you shrink the whole thing down to model size and do it in stop-motion?
Using tilt-shift and stop-motion photography, filmmaker Clark Vogeler has created a portrait of car-filled LA that, for once, isn't about congestion. Instead, it sees bustling highways and hive-like surface streets with a sense of innocent wonder.
This stop-motion movie's plot is harder to figure out than a Michael Bay flick, but luckily the toy-car-on-toy-car action is even more epic. Who knew toy soldiers were such good drivers?
