<![CDATA[ 2010 BMW Z4 Revealed By Michael Douglas ]]> Here is the first picture of the 2010 BMW Z4 hard-top convertible completely uncovered. It was spotted by a forum user over at Zpost.com while being used in a scene for Michael Douglas’s upcoming thriller Solitary Man. We're thrilled.

Why? We’re just happy to see the de-Banglefied looks, especially the loss of the diagonal feature line aft of the front wheels.

Telling the story of a car magnate who destroys his personal and professional life through business and romantic indiscretions, "Solitary Man" is a strangely prescient film for the new BMW Z4 to leak through. The styling of the car is strongly reminiscent of the BMW CS concept, with wider, more pronounced intakes and headlights replacing the shark-like awkwardness of the previous model. [via ZPost.com]

Thanks for the tip, Tim!

<![CDATA[ 2010 VW Beetle ]]> When Volkswagen released the New Beetle in 1998 it was a huge retro hit, but as all things do; it got stale. We're told VW is currently working on a replacement model due to be released in 2010 as either a 2010 or 2011 model year product. But what should we expect from this new New Beetle?

We're told the Ragster concept, first shown at the 2005 Detroit Auto Show, provided a slight glimpse into how a redesigned New Beetle could look. Our sources tell us the Beetle will lose some of its cutesy flair in favor of a more grownup look, something that will appeal to more than a few VW fans. The car will ride on the same next-gen Group A platform due out next year for pretty much every small and mid-size car in the VW stable, and feature similar choices from VW's lineup of four-cylinder engines. It's also a possibility VW will give U.S. buyers the choice of an 1896cc TDI inline-four that is currently serving duty in the Polo. A convertible model will follow the introduction of the coupe and there is also a possibility of a second four door Beetle model that will ride on the Golf platform. We’ve had KORSdesign illustrate what this new New Beetle could look like. Tell us what you think in the comments below.

<![CDATA[ 2010 Mazda3 Hatchback Spied By Mazda ]]> While the 2010 Mazda3 sedan is all smiles, we're reserving our grins for the Mazda3 hatchback. This is why we're so pleased Mazda's press people provided us with what has to be the most beautiful set of spy photos we've ever seen. Rather than leaving the job of snapping photos of the new Mazda3 con camo to the quick shutters of KGP, the press office hired someone to make an entire set of glamour shots of the covered hatch crossing Iceland. The new Mazda3 looks sporty in person and, from what we can see, the hatch looks just as sporty.

The new hatch, like the sedan, should get either the 2.0-liter four cylinder engine with 148 HP and 135 lb-ft of torque or a new 2.5-liter four pumping out a sweet 167 HP and 168 lb-ft of torque. Do you want transmission choices? Mazda will let you have a five-speed automanual, five-speed manual or glorious six-speed gearbox. Unfortunately, you're still likely to be limited to one transmission per car.

<![CDATA[ First Look: Rolls Royce RR4 Interior ]]> The boys from KGP have just gotten us the first shots of the interior of the new entry-level Baby Rolls, or RR4. The shots show a car with typical Rolls Royce style, but at a more-Financiapocalypse-like price of between $200,000 and $250,000. This makes sense as the Rolls Royce RR4 is set to be slated between parent company BMW's 2009 BMW 7-series and the top-of-the-line Rolls Royce Phantom, with parts from the former and the style of the latter. The new exterior photos also give us a more clear picture of the curvier shape and sleeker profile of the new Rolls Royce. Just use your imagination to add the gigantic chrome grille. More details in the spy report below the jump.

KGP Spy Report

Development of the Rolls Royce RR has been ramped up as of late, and the new wave of prototypes have yielded our first glimpses of the "Baby Rolls." Although the overall interior is still very well covered, we can see some hints that lots of wood will be put to use on RR4's dash. A starter button is placed on the dash to the right of the steering wheel. We had to wait until an engineer got behind the wheel to nab some shots of a new iDrive-style controller residing on the center console. Separate buttons for "Tel" and "Nav" can be discerned in our close-up shot of the new controller.

We must assume that the new interface is closely related to the new iDrive system about to launch in the new 7-series. However, there are clear differences between the control knob in the new 7-series and this RR4 prototype, so it seems that BMW will be careful to avoid any parts-bin feel to their new "entry-level" Rolls.

This set contains interior shots of two separate RR4 prototypes—one has what appears to be a steering wheel from the '09 7-series, while the second test vehicle has a fully badged Rolls-Royce wheel, with revised switches that give us the true look of the new Roller's steering wheel.

The RR4 is expected to arrive as a 2010 model with a price ranging between $250,000 -$280,000—about 100-grand less than Rolls Royce's flagship Phantom. The RR4 will share many components with the '09 7-series, but we're beginning to see that those shared bits will definitely lie beneath the surface

<![CDATA[ First Look: Mercedes SLC Gullwing Interior ]]> Last time the new Mercedes SLC was caught on camera, the big gullwing doors were in the attack position. This time, the doors were apparently in the same position and either the spy-shooting camera, or scanner of a dealer photo of some sort, was much closer. How close? Well, that picture above we've received from our good friends at World Car Fans appears to be the first shot of the interior of the new SLR-replacing Mercedes SLC Gullwing. So what's it reveal?

It actually looks quite retro. There's shared Mercedes switchgear is pretty evident, such as the COMMAND knob on the center console, temperature switches, flat-bottomed steering wheel and headlight switch. Power's still expected to come from the 6.2-liter V8 pumping out 550+ HP and 445 lb-ft of torque. Our next hope is we can start to finally see what the exterior's going to look like as the SLC begins to slither its way out of the Viper-skin it's hiding in. [via World Car Fans]

<![CDATA[ Ford Fiesta Sedan Caught Red-Handed Testing In China ]]> A sedan version of the 2009 Ford Fiesta was spotted camouflaged and testing in China, readying itself for a debut on the world stage. We've only officially seen photos of the Fiesta hatch, but these photos seem to suggest that the new sedan will look much like the Ford Verve Concept from last year's Detroit Auto Show and the Mazda2 that debuted in China last year. Why do you care?

Part of Ford's Motor Company's One Ford plan includes bringing over the Ford Fiesta four-door and five-door models to the US as part of its expanded small car lineup. There's been no word on whether or not we'll also get the Ford Fiesta Panel Van. We can only hope. [Source: China Car Times]

<![CDATA[ 2009 Nissan 370Z Caught With Its Hood Open, Trunk Empty ]]> We've already seen most of the Nissan 370Z (even dissecting the design), set to debut at the LA Auto Show next week. Now these photos from GTR-World show us more of a fuller sense of what the engine bay and trunk portal will look like. As you'd imagine, the 3.7-liter VQ37VHR V6 is there in all its normally-aspirated glory, crossed by a large tower bar. Moving to the opposite end of the vehicle you'll notice the 2009 Nissan 370Z features a decently-sized pass-through storage area, at least for this class. What else do we know about the new Z-Car?

Thanks to a leaky auto show website we now know the 370Z will be capable of 332 hp, an increase of 26 hp from the 3.5-liter VQ V6. We also know the Nismo S-Tune will bring upgrades tot he 370Z shortly after its release. It's worth noting, again, all of this has happened before the car has been released. [GTR-World]

<![CDATA[ Lexus HS250h: New Hybrid-Only Lexus Sedan ]]> Back in August we told you Lexus plans to unveil a new hybrid-only model at the Detroit Auto Show in January at the same time as the reveal of the new third-generation 2010 Toyota Prius. Now, a newly published rendering from Japanese buff book Mag-X may give us some clues of what to expect from a car they claim will be badged as the Lexus HS250h.

We'll let Mag-X take it from here:

The drawing reveals a well-proportioned four-door car with Prius-like lines and angles—especially the front slope of its windshield and hood—while retaining design cues which are unmistakably Lexus, most notably the back-end and taillight styling.

The publication says the Lexus HS250h will most likely be outfitted with the 2.4-liter engine and electric motor combo found in the Toyota Camry Hybrid, and share many of the same mechanicals as that car. This includes the current-generation nickel metal hydride battery. Carrying over the powertrain would be significantly more cost-effective than developing an entirely new system for the Lexus brand.

Setting itself apart from the more mainstream Toyota brand, the Lexus concept car will feature a technology and entertainment module, controlled from the center console, much like BMW’s iDrive system. A roster of luxury equipment not offered by the Prius or Camry Hybrid will also be included.

If the HS250h sedan comes to fruition, it could join the Lexus lineup by late 2009 or early 2010. Price, technical specs, and other key stats will remain unknown, until official word from Toyota.

<![CDATA[ 2010 Toyota Camry? ]]> Not really. We're almost 100% sure the top photo, uncovered by the very strange-to-look-at Vince Burlapp, is a Toyota Aurion, the Camry's Australian sibling, and not the 2010 Toyota Camry. Though it isn't the new, next-generation Camry, it is a reminder America's best-selling mid-size car will likely get a makeover soon. Rather than the more bland styling of the Aurion, we suspect the next face lift for the Camry will include the sharper headlights of the Matrix and U-shaped grille of the new Corolla. We've also been told to expect the next Camry update to include at least one new engine. We do not, however, expect it to come in flavors other than vanilla.[Burlapp Cars]

<![CDATA[ New 2010 Ford Mustang GT Teaser Photo Reveals A Duck-Tailed Rear End ]]> Dear god, it's yet another teaser shot of the 2010 Ford Mustang GT. This one shows off the sensuous duck-tail curves of the new rear end of Ford's pony car. Along with the strip tease, Ford's telling us

"The decklid spoiler is redesigned into a duck-tail form, with several options, including one that incorporates a rear-view camera, are available."

Feel free to ignore the poor grammar, Ford accidentally forgot they hocked the grammar check software for MS Word. Full comments below.

Coming or going, the 2010 Mustang casts an evocative, dramatic presence on the road. The enhanced muscular look of the 2010 Mustang carries through to the rear of the car. “It’s a huge improvement,” said Chief Designer Douglas Gaffka.

Design Manager George Saridakis and his team created a more-compact, wraparound look and enhanced Mustang’s width and stance through a new two-piece rear fascia. Reinforcing the Mustang’s heritage are the tri-bar tail lamps. The three individual red chambers, each lit with LED technology, are separated by two clear vertical back-up elements to ensure the tri-bar look is identifiable when lit or unlit. Continuing on the theme of embracing Mustang’s heritage with contemporary execution, the proud and distinctive three-piece central badge is a modern and expressive evolution of the iconic Mustang gas cap, executed in contrasting polished and satin finishes.

“We’re proud of Mustang’s heritage; it’s a fantastic car with a rich, proud history,” Saridakis said. “For the 2010 model, it was a huge challenge and also a huge honor to reference Mustang’s DNA and execute new forms in a modern way.”

<![CDATA[ Porsche Panamera Spotted Continuing World Tour With A Drive In Arizona ]]> At this point, who hasn't caught a 2010 Porsche Panamera gallivanting about somewhere in the world? Porsche seems determined to test the car absolutely everywhere before releasing it to the public, and here we see it speeding along the Arizona I-10 in Phoenix. Still feel free to keep sending us pictures of your encounters, like these of the interior (the only part of the car which doesn't make us gag), whether it be at a Bennigan's in Iowa, a truck stop in Belarus, or a ramen joint in Tokyo. <![CDATA[ The Car-Based Ford Explorer Test Mule, Up Close And Personal ]]> A funny thing happens when you ride a motorcycle around Detroit with no particular purpose: You see a lot of things people would rather you not see, like the curious-looking car-based 2011 Ford Explorer we first saw a couple days ago. Having no final destination also gives you the freedom to chase down your quarry and tail it until the driver parks it in a public parking lot to go have dinner with his buddies. So we played the stalker — oh well. It afforded us the opportunity to poke around the "Ford Freestyle with the Flex nose" and learn some interesting things about the supposed new Explorer — primarily that it's powered by a transversely mounted engine. More confounding details and a positively enormous gallery of spy shots below.

That's right, the engine sits crossways in the engine bay and, though this particular mule was all-wheel-drive, it opens up the opportunity for a front-drive Explorer in the future — we know, sacrilege. The mule's Frankensteined body work is sliced and stitched together all over the place too, with a slice on the fender just behind the peak of the wheel well, a line that runs all the way down the center of the roof and a newly formed rear bumper. You can also see how they've made the A-pillar extra wide with a considerable rake. Inside, the family truckster looks the part of any Ford Freestyle, but gets a Ford Mustang steering wheel for some reason. You'd never know it was wider than stock. If this does indeed turn out to be the Explorer we think it is, things will certainly be different than what we're accustomed to on the big, tough and boxy version we have today.

That's right, a Zephyr and not an MKZ — so what does it mean? This could be an old mule, or perhaps cost cutting efforts at Ford are forcing reuse of old cars they've got laying around. Maybe they've decided to go old-school and drop an Offenhauser high-rise intake manifold on top of that V6. Hey, we can dream right? In either case we think this should be optional body work on the Zephyr because this baby would fit in just fine with our The Ten Scariest-Looking Cars Of All Time list.

<![CDATA[ Audi To Build Their Own VW Up! ]]> According to AutoExpress, Audi is reportedly looking to fill the city car hole in their lineup with a version of the VW up!. The UK mag's even mocked up what they think an Audi version of the sub-sub compact would look like in a color that appears to be... yes, lime green. The Audi would get the same engine lineup expected to fit under the hood of the VW up!. In fact, we're hearing there may only be one difference between the two — as always, it's what's inside that counts.

Autoexpress expects to see available gas and diesel 600-cc two-cylinder engines and the VW corporate 1.2-liter inline-three. The Audi difference will likely be most apparent on the inside, where the company's up! iteration would receive high-line trim and amenities. Of course, don't hold your breath waiting for anything equipped with a diesel two-cylinder to hit our shores anytime soon. <![CDATA[ 2010 Suzuki Kizashi Spotted Unclad And Ready For 'Ring Time ]]> We've heard about the new Suzuki Kizashi's engines courtesy of an overzealous Aussie importer, and we've seen Kizashi line drawings suitable for a kids' coloring book. Now we get a sneak peek of the new Suzuki courtesy of the spy photogs at KGP. Our reaction is mixed; on one hand, it's a nice-enough looking sedan with some Teutonic styling cues — much better than what we're used to from Suzuki. On the other hand, the conventional profile has lost some of the excitement of the Kizashi concept we saw in New York. Decide for yourself. Spy report below the jump.

Suzuki's new Kizashi sedan arrived arrived in Germany completely unclad, for a few quick laps around the 'Ring. We caught the prototype stationary, as the test group arranged entry onto the race circuit. This is the first time that we've seen the Kizashi completely free of its heavy camouflage, relying solely on some black and white graphics to try to trick the eye.

It's immediately clear that Suzuki stylists have managed a faithful transition from the Kizashi3 concept sedan to this production model, although some of the show car's sexy profile has been lost in translation—especially around the C-pillar and rear deck. However, we can't help but notice that the Kizashi's rump has some serious BMW 1-series coupe overtones. While it's not saying much, this is clearly the most promising sedan in Suzuki's history, what with its expected 3.6-liter DOHC V6 perhaps producing as much as 300-horsepower. A 2.5-liter four-cylinder is also expected to anchor entry-level models.

<![CDATA[ New Saab 9-3 Mule Snapped Masquerading As Opel Insignia ]]> What appears to be a lightly camouflaged Opel Insignia is most likely a development mule for the next-generation Saab 9-3 — despite Vince Burlapp's speculation that it's a 9-5. The previous 9-3 was built on the Vectra's Epsilon platform; Insignia is replacing Vectra, which makes the Saab variant here a 9-3. What we can't see in these photos is whether this mule is carrying Turbo X XWD running gear, but it makes sense for the Saab line to take advantage of available cross-wheel drive throughout the next generation of vehicles. What also remains to be seen is where GM will take the styling direction for the Swedish brand, which is desperately in need of differentiation in a crowded and competitive sport-luxury car market. UPDATE: Auto Motor & Sport, the original source of the photos, claims the car actually appears to have a 9-5 interior.

<![CDATA[ Audi Drops Sketches Of A5 Cabrio, Sportback, A7 And Next-Gen A8 ]]> Eschewing trite teaser images, Audi has instead given us some actual eye candy, providing official design sketches of four upcoming models: the A5 Cabrio and Sportback, the all-new 2010 A7 four-door coupe and the 2011 A8 sedan. While the A5 Cabrio looks pretty much like a topless A5 coupe, the A5 Sportback is unique for not looking at all like a traditional sportback model, instead bearing resemblance to notchbacks of yore. The A7 brings TT-esque styling to the burgeoning four-door coupe market, while the revised A8, at least in sketch form, looks just about tough as hell. Take a look for yourself in the gallery below.

<![CDATA[ 2010 Toyota Prius, Venza Spotted On 405 ]]> Intrepid reader and impromptu spy photographer Brian sent us these images of a camo-covered 2010 Toyota Prius hamming it up with a 2009 Toyota Venza on California's 405 freeway outside of Long Beach. This tag team of dynamic excitement is pounding the pavement of the 90801 ahead of the Detroit Auto Show premier of the Prius. Keep in mind, we've already seen complete pictures of the new Prius, and ToMoCo has been pummeling us with coma-inducing teaser shots, so these are really just a study in purpose-free camouflage.

<![CDATA[ New Toyota Prius Teaser Solves Mystery Of The Disappearing Adjustable Seat ]]> Toyota continues to stick with its strategy of slowly releasing tiny teasers of the 2010 Toyota Prius through the good folks at PriusChat despite the fact that we've seen the full car. But whereas the previous teasers left us with questions, this latest photo answers a question Prius owners have had since the first model rolled off the assembly line: What the hell is up with the seats? Prius seats have until now lacked proper adjustments, something a technologically forward-leaning car like the Prius should be expected to have. We'll be sure to sit in them at the Detroit Auto Show in January and tell you what we think.

<![CDATA[ Tata Nano Tester Spotted Amid Rumors Of December Launch ]]> Amateur spy shooters in the right place at the right time snagged these great photos of the Tata Nano undergoing testing — revealing the interior for the first time since the Geneva show. The micro-sized $2,500 "people's car" being championed by Indian industrial giant Ratan Tata faces an uphill battle after its nearly completed West Bengal factory was shuttered as a result of farmer protests stemming from disagreements surrounding compensation for land the factory was built on. Despite the temporary setback, work continues and rumor has it the company is set to launch base models coming from the automaker's existing Pune and Pantnagar plants on Ratan Tata's 71st birthday — December 28th. So far these rumors remain unconfirmed, however company officials state they are exploring the possibility of production at other facilities. We'll just have to keep an ear to the ground.

<![CDATA[ Murcielago-Replacing Lamborghini Jota Mule Spied Lapping The Nurburgring ]]> Despite the Finciapocalypse, it appears that Lamborghini is feverishly working on a replacement for the $313,000 Murcielago supercar. Tentatively named the Lamborghini Jota, don’t expect it to look like the test mule captured here — when released, the car will likely sport entirely new bodywork. Early indications are that it’ll run a wider track than the Murcielago, facilitated by the extensions on this development car’s fenders. Thanks to Audi ownership, it looks like Lambo will be switching its next flagship’s chassis away from steel tubes mixed with carbon extensions in favor of an aluminum space frame. The body will, of course, be carbon fiber. Expect a revised 6.5-liter V12 using direct injection to deliver something north of 700 HP. [via WCF]

<![CDATA[ First Photos Of New Car-Based Ford Explorer ]]> The quick shutterbugs at KGP just snapped these first pictures of what appears to be a test mule for the new Ford Explorer running around on a car platform on the streets of Dearborn, MI. We've already reported the next-generation Explorer will be more car-like, something hinted at with the Ford Explorer America concept shown at Detroit earlier this year. The mule captured by KGP appears to be a mixture of the Ford Flex and Taurus X but with a taller ride-height, higher cowl and a revised A-pillar. All of this points to a taller, shorter vehicle than the current Explorer. Full spy report below the jump.

A new style of test mule has begun running around Ford's development centers, perhaps offering the first signs that testing has begun on Ford's car-based Explorer. The rough test mules (we've now seen several running the streets of Dearborn) are a mix of Ford Taurus X and Ford Flex, but there are some telling alterations, raising the prototype's ride-height, along with a higher cowl, and rigged A-pillars to accommodate what appears to be a more steeply-raked windshield. There are also clear signs around the rear hatch and roof rails that the platform has been widened. While the front clip is pure Ford Flex, the lowest slat of the Flex's three-bar grille has been removed, perhaps to better approximate airflow of the next Explorer's grille.

Ford also used the Taurus X body on mules for the Ford Flex and Lincoln MKT, but those mules had additional length added to their wheelbases. This latest mule features no such additions, suggesting that this new model will be shorter than the Flex for a more fuel-friendly footprint.

Ford confirmed earlier this year that the Explorer would be ditching its body-on-frame SUV construction in favor of a new unibody, car-based approach for greater fuel-efficiency. The Explorer's new direction was previewed by Ford's Explorer America concept at the 2008 North American International Auto Show, and the general proportions of these latest mules seem to adequately approximate that concept.

The new unibody Explorer crossover is expected to reach the market in 2010.

<![CDATA[ Latest 2010 Mustang Teaser Brings You The Powerdome! ]]> Yep, it's that time of the week again: 2010 Ford Mustang teaser day. This time the Blue Oval boys have dribbled out a sheet metal crease apparently belonging to the hood bulge or "powerdome" in marketing parlance. All amusing since we've already seen the hood anyway. We'd really rather see what's underneath, particularly if it's an engine that says "EcoBoost" on the valve covers or something. We'll get to see the whole works at the LA Auto Show next month, so try to reserve some excitement for then.

<![CDATA[ New Toyota Prius Teaser Campaign Continues With A Head Scratcher ]]> Even though we've already seen the 2010 Toyota Prius, the marketing march of extreme closeup teasers continues, this time with something we can't put a name on. It's obviously a camera of some sort, probably. Heck it could be a super amazing fog light, or a fancy fingerprint reading door lock, or the eye of a HAL 9000. In any case it's got a big fish-eye lens and it's watching something, possibly silently judging it. We do know it's for a feature not currently available on the Prius — so that rules out a backup sensor. We'll be seeing this and everything else still secret about the next Prius when it makes it's official debut at the Detroit Auto Show in January. Until then, bask in the warm gaze of its potentially terrifying sentience.

<![CDATA[ 2009 Nissan 370Z: What To Expect ]]> With the new 2009 Nissan 370Z scheduled to drop cloth at the LA Auto Show at the end of November, we figured it high time to give you an up-close look at what you should expect to see. Better yet, we decided not to give you some namby-pamby camo-covered silliness in favor of some speculatively rendered (sans a lot of speculation) shots of the new, slightly-smaller, but also slightly up-powered Z-car thanks to our good friends at KORS Design. Although we already all know to expect the 3.7-liter Nissan VQ engine under the hood just like the Infiniti G37 coupe and sedan, we're expecting it to seriously kick some ass, more than likely exceeding the G37 coupe's 330 HP and 270 lb-ft of torque. But that's not all we should expect. Hit the jump for the rest of the story.

It's also pretty likely we'll see that engine mated to your choice of either a seven-speed automatic, like the just-introduced G37 sedan, or with a manual transmission. But the real story here's going to be the reduction in size of the new "Z," as Nissan moves it to the FM platform, reducing the size from the 350Z's current 104.3-inch wheelbase to something just shy of 100 inches — taking it back to more sports car-esque roots.

We've also been told to expect a familiar-looking interior, but with significantly upgraded materials from the 350Z's oft-discounted plastic dash. We're told we'll find out for sure how close our renderings are come October 29th when we hear we'll see the first official photos of the car, and all the deets on the technical side should hit November 11th. Don't expect to see a roadster come next month, but don't toss it out as an optional reveal for later into the winter auto show schedule.

Some say he has a tattoo of a Saleen S7 on his rear end. Others tell us he was born with a penchant for oil rather than his mum's milk. All we know is he's called the Auto Insider and he's always ready to provide the scoop from the other side of Eight Mile.

<![CDATA[ 2010 Ford Mustang Grille Revealed In Closest-Up Photos Yet ]]> We're getting as tired of seeing bits and pieces of the upcoming 2010 Ford Mustang (new and old) as everybody else is, so when these candid spy shots of the refreshed pony car surfaced actually showing the grille — close up and in detail, it was like a breath of fresh air. The new grille closely follows our rendering but does so with a bit more upper lip. You know, for that cro-magnon tough guy look. Take heart though, this seemingly unending campaign of secrecy and teasers ahead of the car's unveil at the LA Auto Show in November is nearly over. Thank god.

<![CDATA[ Four-Door Porsche Panamera Spotted In San Francisco ]]> We saw a fake p-shop of the Porsche Panamera the other day (again), the official mini-site's live and we've even seen a teaser shot straight from Porsche. But now, what we've got here is a failure on Porsche's part to communicate to their engineers the need to strap on some camouflage. Thus, here's some of the clearest shots we've yet seen of the four-door super sedan from the German automaker. The Panamera was spotted by Flickr user Hysterical Bertha prowling the streets of Russian Hill, looking for potential customers among the affluent residents of the tony San Francisco neighborhood with some very crooked streets. Yup, it's definitely the Panamera — it even looks like the concept sketch. Well, except for the fact the sketch seemed to indicate the Panamera was made out of pencil lead. Our older spy photos of the new four-door "Bruce" below the jump. (Hat tip to Cord!)

<![CDATA[ Mini Crossover Spotted In Brown Acid Camouflage ]]> Hot on the heels of the Mini Crossover Concept revealed at the Paris Motor Show, we get our first glimpse of a prototype Mini crossing over in the wild. The all-wheel-drive micro-UV is obviously wearing the same epilepsy-inducing camouflage BMW has been fond of lately, but you can see the mule bears a great deal of resemblance to the concept. This "Mini" seems to be pretty large compared against the BMW 1-Series parked in front of it. [NextAutos]

<![CDATA[ This IS The New Toyota Prius ]]> UPDATE: We sat down with Toyota PR this morning, showed them the pictures and they've confirmed that yes, this is the new 2010 Toyota Prius set to be revealed officially at the Detroit Auto Show in January. And yeah, that's all they're willing to tell us at this time.
Someone over at PriusChat dropped images of what appears to be the next generation Prius or at least a really fantastic photochop of what the new Prius mule looks like. Toyota has no comment on the image according to PriusChat, which is something that we're going to have to weigh. What do you all think? Is this the next generation 2010 Prius that we've all been waiting to see after seeing the really underwhelming teasers of the new Prius?

<![CDATA[ Porsche Panamera Sedan Teased, Tuned By Roock ]]> This shadowy image of the 2010 Porsche Panamera comes via 4wheelsnews, allegedly from tuner Roock Autosport. It's only the second time we've seen the upcoming Porsche sedan without any camouflage, and we can definitely see much more of the actual car than the first official teaser from Porsche. Though it's not clear exactly what has been modified on the car to turn the Panamera into the Roock RSP 555, but we're sure hoping that's not what the Panamera will look like stock. Turns out, this is just a rendering done previously for Top Gear. Make the jump to see the original.

We've seen the Panamera out testing in camo more than a few different times, but this phony teaser may be the best speculative glimpse yet at the forthcoming four-door. [via 4wheelsnews] [Autoblog] Thanks for the tip Gavin!

<![CDATA[ Hyundai Genesis Coupe Spotted In Metro Detroit Looking Yellow ]]> Jalopnik friend Jon snapped this yellow Hyundai Genesis coupe wearing M plates on I-75 in Metro Detroit yesterday. The angle of the photo shows the dramatic side creases found on the 2-door Korean Mustang-mauler, and from the rear three-quarter the car actually looks more like a Tiburon than its designers would likely care to admit. Kudos for a surprisingly good photo using what we'd assume is a camera phone while driving; we're hoping this wasn't the cause of that accident at Big Beaver yesterday afternoon.

<![CDATA[ New Ford Mustang Teaser Photo Entices Us To Slobber All Over A Shift Knob ]]> Yup, it's yet another teaser image of the final entry into the muscle car wars, the 2010 Ford Mustang. This time the boys n' girls in Dearbon are letting you check out its short little shift knob. Feel free to slobber all over it until you get to see the car revealed officially at the LA Auto Show. Or, check out the gallery of teaser shots we've already seen as well as our exclusive renderings of how they all fit together to create the new Mustang, below.

<![CDATA[ 2011 Nissan Titan: Rendered And Ramified! ]]> As part of a recent agreement between Nissan and Chrysler, the next-generation full-size light duty truck, the 2011 Nissan Titan, will be based on the new 2009 Dodge Ram. In return, Chrysler will get a much needed small car and the heartfelt gratitude of Carlos Ghosn. We've asked the good folks at KORSDesign to render up what they think the next-gen Titan's going to look like. Check out their pics below and hit the jump for their expectations.

Expect the 2011 Nissan Titan to not only share platform hardware with the Dodge, but also engine options and transmissions. Yes, if Chrysler President Jim Press is correct, there is a possibility that your Nissan will have a Hemi. There’s no official word yet on whether the upcoming Ram’s two-mode hybrid system will make it into the Nissan but we see no reason why it wouldn’t. On the exterior, as you can see, will be an extension and modernization of the Titan front fascia although we're told since the new truck is still in clay form, it's got all sorts of opportunities for changes. As for the interior, the 2011 Nissan Titan will receive a unique instrument panel and inner door skins although the rest of the interior could be pulled from the ‘09 Ram, namely seats and other items not directly noticeable to the occupants. Pricing and release dates are unknown at this time, but look for the 2011 Nissan Titan to make its debut sometime in late ‘09 and go on sale in early to mid ‘10 as a 2011 model.
