Used Truck Dealers Reporting Pickup Prices Plunging 25% Over Past Three Months

Not surprisingly, the implosion of the new pickup/SUV market now means that your '06 Silverado doubles in value every time you fill the tank. Large retail groups such as CarMax are reporting wholesale prices for big pickups have plunged 25% in the last three months alone. With trade-in values making up a significant factor in many new car transactions, dealers are finding themselves squeezed by more truck owners "upside-down" in their loans. With dealers unable to finance new purchases, they've resorted to desperate tactics — like leaving truck owners sitting their with their manhood replacements hanging out, unable to trade it in. $500,000 Range Stormer Replica For Sale, Perfect For When You Ain't Found Shit In The Desert

Range Rover Sport too dull for you? Too many doors? Not in line with your posh Dubai lifestyle? Need something to comb the desert in? Good news friend, West Coast Customs Dubai is reproducing the Range Stormer concept in street legal form. Better news is there's one on sale at Alwan's used cars for a cool $500,000. It seems a member of the Dubai royal family thought the concept was so fly he had West Coast Customs US build him one out of a regular old boring Range Rover Sport. WCC decided maybe there'd be a few more so why not task the Dubai branch to make a couple more. Head down to crazy Al's if you can't live without a two door Stormer of your own.

2009 Jetta SportWagen Pricing, Specs Announced

While we've been waiting for an official announcement of prices and specs for the 2009 Jetta SportWagen, someone noticed that the prices are actually now up on the VeeDub website. Works for us. The base price, sans destination, is $18,999 for the S mode with the 2.5-Liter I5 and a five-speed manual (which we reviewed). That's a reasonable price for a fairly refined, fun wagon without too many obnoxious features. Add $2K to that price if you want a 6-speed tiptronic tranny. Drop another $1,350 and you can upgrade to the SE model, which includes a much better sound system and faux leather seating. If you want the 2.0T I4, and trust us you do, it's going to cost you a little more.

Spada TS Codatronca Production Announced, Tie Fighters No Longer Cool

Mr. Vader, the latest in your ever expanding fleet has arrived. We thought the Spadaconcept Codatronica was but a glimmer in the eye of some crazy Italians. After months of development work and the creation of a production company, Spadavetturesport has announced production readiness for the Spada TS Codatronca. The car is a masterwork of stealth combined with aerodynamics, menace with purpose. Clad in black with an aluminum V8 sporting 630 HP and 492 lb.ft. of torque, the terror from Torino can top out at 211 MPH.

2008 Pontiac G8 Spotted, Decked Out In Racey Duds

We're big fans of the Aussie import that is the Pontiac G8. If it's ever revealed, we' ll be even bigger fans of the Pontiac G8 ST. Then last night we saw this. On the way to happy hour we caught this Pontiac G8 in Royal Oak with all manner of lovely regalia. We can't confirm or deny the rad stripes, massive spoiler, and bitchin' wheels are part of some kind of appearance option package because the online build-a-G8 workshop isn't up and running. But, we're assuming if it is, it'll be very popular with the peanut gallery.

Chicago Auto Show: 2009 Mitsubishi Galant, Three Varieties of Boring

In case you were wondering, Mitsubishi did bust out a trio of updated Galants on Thursday, and we were monumentally underwhelmed. The Galant Sport, Galant Sport V6, and the Galant Ralliart all took a bow. The cars are available with a mix and match of the 2.4 L 4 cyl MiVEC, 3.8 L V6, and 3.8L V6 equipped with MiVEC, traction control, and Nav system as well as external indicators of the various performance levels.

Chicago Auto Show: 2009 Ford Edge Sport Live

While we already saw, the 2009 Ford Edge Sport press shots when the embargo let go, we wondered down to find the newly retrimmed Ford just hanging out for all to see. In the flesh, the Edge Sport works pretty well from a design perspective. Looks like the Edge should have been designed this way in the first place actually. Without the heavy trim colors and sporting bigger wheels to match the huge wheel wells, the Edge Sport plays the urban cruiser a little bit better.

2009 Ford Edge Sport

If you've been holding off on a brand new Ford Edge because the styling just wasn't sporty enough, have we got good news for you. Tonight at a press event in Dearborn, Ford took the wraps from it's latest trim level of the well received crossover, the 2009 Ford Edge Sport. Featuring some nice design details like perforated alcantera seating surfaces, an 8 piece body kit, smoked headlights, dual exhaust tips, stiffened up performance suspension, and... oh okay, big stinky wheels. The Edge Sport gets polished 20" wheels standard and 22 incher's optional, both wrapped in fat Pirelli Scorpion Zeros. And just because you were already thinking it, no, there are no additional ponies riding under that hood. Expect to see the sportier looking Edge at dealers by fall. Keep it parked here for our live Chicago Auto Show coverage as we bring you all the reveals that are fit to print, er, publish.

SEMA 2007: Cadillac CTS Sport Concept, Now With Live Photos

Those press shots of the new sub-V class concept Cadillac CTS Sport? They just don't do this car justice. That's because the grille? It's just not attractive. Not in the least. It's actually the antithesis of attractive. I'd be happy to see a normal CTS with this engine, but as it currently stands, I'd rather gouge out my eyeballs than be seen driving this car around town. It's just that garish. Don't believe us? See for yourself in the shots below and check out the full press release after the jump. Maybe we'll be able to make one with the grille-delete option.

SEMA 2007: Cadillac Escalade Sport Revealed, Shows Off 550 HP V8 Under Hood

Aye, just what the Cadillac Escalade needed — more power and lower fuel economy. But hey, isn't that what "pimping" is all about? Well, other than being "not easy." And look, there's "special aero rockers" to provide this new and more sporty 'sclade "a distinctive look." You know, it kinda still looks like an Escalade to us — albeit an Escalade with a smiling grille. What say you? To find out what the General says, just hit the jump.

SEMA 2007: Cadillac CTS Sport With 3.6-Liter 304 HP V6

There's a new version of the still-new Cadillac CTS coming here to SEMA according to the folks at the General and it's got some more horses under the hood. That's the good news. The bad news? It's not the "V" series version. Instead, it's what the luxe brand's calling the "Sport" edition. This new angular beast gets a 3.6-liter 304 HP V6 under the hood and is the world's biggest tease since we heard there were nude shots of Angeline Jolie out there somewhere on the interwebs. Seriously, we scoured the web for like three hours looking for them, and all we found were a buncha fakes. Anyway, full press release after the jump.

Detroit Auto Show Preview: NO CHEVY EQUINOX SUPER SPORT POTENTIAL!

The General dropped a 2008 version of the American Revolution's smallest SUV on the press site yesterday and you'll pardon us for not getting to it yet. However, we think you'll understand our lack of excitement — frankly, it's not so much news and it's certainly not anything more than what the General should have offered for the Chevy Equinox from the start. The mini sports-ute will move from the anemic 185 hp 3.4L V6 it currently suffers with to a less sucktastic 3.6L V6 chugging at 263 hp and 250 ft-lb of torque. In addition to the power output bump, the Equinox "Sport" will receive the General's new six-speed tranny with quasi-manumatic action, a change we're assuming will have some minor effect on fuel economy, but which we're sure the PR team will trumpet as the greatest thing since Chevy's founding and will help us to win the war for national fuel independence. Despite the PR-tastic claims, we're happy about the direction the General's going with Chevy's branding of higher-performance products which aren't yet ready for the classic performance moniker of old. Calling them "Sport" rather than dipping into the entirety of the "SS" moniker and further watering down what once was a very "Super" class of vehicles sounds like the right move to us — because they certainly aren't "Super." You'll be able to see the 2008 Equinox Sport at the Detroit Auto Show next month, or you can see it in the full gallery below. We've also got the full press release from the General after the jump.
