Spada TS Codatronca Production Announced, Tie Fighters No Longer Cool

Mr. Vader, the latest in your ever expanding fleet has arrived. We thought the Spadaconcept Codatronica was but a glimmer in the eye of some crazy Italians. After months of development work and the creation of a production company, Spadavetturesport has announced production readiness for the Spada TS Codatronca. The car is a masterwork of stealth combined with aerodynamics, menace with purpose. Clad in black with an aluminum V8 sporting 630 HP and 492 lb.ft. of torque, the terror from Torino can top out at 211 MPH.

Commenter of the Day: Sexual Innuendo Edition

If you're like me, you spend a lot of time wondering why women aren't as obsessed with cars as men. Logic would indicate that just as many women drive as men (at least in the US and Europe). Of course that same brand of logic would argue that men wear just as much clothing as women and I shouldn't start yawning when my girl puts on Project Runway. But, I do. Bonus Fantasy: DB4 GT Zagato Gallery

Frankly, I'm delighted by the enthusiasm on display in today's Fantasy Garage. Certain cars are simply that good. About a decade back I was given a book about Aston Martin DB4/5s by a pistonhead boss. It wasn't a raise, but I was dumb young enough to still be thrilled. As you can imagine, the pages on the DB4 GT Zagato are especially dog eared. Spada's bodywork is immortal — simply one of the greatest ever. To celebrate his masterpiece, here's some extra pics. Please enjoy.

Spadaconcept Reveals Codatronica Prototype

Italian design shop Spadaconcept — founded by former Zagato stylist Ercole Spada — revealed images of its new Codatronica concept. A modern take on Italy's last-century sports-car designs, the Codatronica is based on Chevrolet's Corvette chassis and mechanicals. According to Autoblog.it, it'll be produced in three spec levels, Sport Touring (512 hp) Fast Sport Touring (513 hp - ?) and Sport Super Touring (700 hp, 701 ft-lbs, an estimated top speed of 220 mph and a zero-to-60 time of 2.7 seconds). Feel free to insert Il Uomo del Blocco jokes here.

Batman Cometh: The Ercole Sword Concept?

Autoblog.it has a shot of what may be a concept car built in a collaboration between Italian tuning shop Uk Garage and designer Ercole Spada's firm SpadaConcept. The former chief stylist with Zagato is responsible for the Aston Martin DB4, Alpha Romeo TZ and Fulvia Zagato Sport. This car was allegedly inspired by the Alpha Romeo TZ prototype of 1965. No word on whether it'll make its debut in Geneva, or at some VIP event at secret Italian castle in the Lake Como region. We're betting on the first one. More »
