Reminds me of that episode of Monster Garage where they put a tractor-trailer engine on a motorcycle. Rather, they built a motorcycle around a tractor-trailer engine. They had a hell of a time finding somebody dumb enough to take it for a spin, IIRC.

@HurtsSoGood: Your recollection is a bit flawed, the initial plan was to build a motorcycle, but once the figured out how big and heavy the engine and transmission was, they went with a trike layout, and Jesse James was the one doing the driving.

Also, that thing was f'ing awesome.

@nollid51: The story goes that the guy on the bike "wild" Bill Gelbke built the thing and apparently was the only one that could ever ride it as designed. I've seen more recent pictures of it and now it has outriggers.

Not being a bike guy myself, this is just 100s of times better than any of the custom choppers that you see the Orange County or West Coast Choppers guys doing. I was going to say something about the other video showing the bike with 24 chainsaws powering it, but somebody beat me to it.

Heh, love my kawis, helped my dad do a ground up restoration on a fully intact H1, it runs like a banshee, can't stop for anything though, great bike, a lot of fun, but you definitely find out very quickly how much of a man you are.

@2Wheelsor4: Ze Ümlaüt in Motörhead: My 78 KZ750 twin is a world away from the hairy knuckled H1 and it scares the pants off anyone who's always driven brand new rocket bikes. I can only imaging how awesome the H1 is. I hope to one day get my hands on a Z1300 and try not to die riding it.

Also, FYI, Fat Tire = excellent beer, on the off-chance that your handle was actually referring to something vehicularly-related.

I'm trying to figure out just how jalopnik this thing is... 6x inline 8 cyl =120pts, 6 carbs =60pts, no doors =50pts... age, powa!, mixed origin, multiple engines. Unless I missed some exclusion for only having 2 wheels I think this even beats Kens basement Lambo.
