"We wonder how many of them will be interested in buying a Hummer from a Chinese-owned company...?"

And if they don't, will the cry be racism?

So how will the new owners play it? A cute little hummingbird logo?

Who knew, the first China vehicle to be sold in the United States isn't going to be a tiny little fuel efficient Asian car, or an unreliable pile of crap like the Hyundai Excel, or even a modern Chinese car like the Roewe 550.

Can't wait for the Hummer H888

@tekdemon: It'll be the size of a Peel P50, and we'll all H8 the styling.

    Or, no, wait...

So, who's going to be the first clueless media outlet release an OP/Ed complaining about the sale of an American military vehicle to China.

With all of the money they invested in the U.S.- someone had to give them a Hummer. Might as well have been GM-

how many people here actually own or have driven a h2 hummer. for all the bashing it gets its a very capable truck, ideal for pulling a boat or a trailer full of off-road bikes.

America still rules in the real truck market, but a very capable truck is now dead.

@mcryder: A Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon can do the same. So can an Expedition. Or, if you have no concept of style, an Armada/QX56 or Sequoia.

And in all of those, you can see the boat or trailer through the rear window! And the traffic? Wow, that's out the side! Amazing! Why didn't Hummer think of that?

Seriously, those things are bested only by a windowless Econoline in the poor-visibility department.
