Did anyone else notice that the Subaru ad refers to the flat-four engine as "Quadrozontal?" That's fucking awesome.

I was kinda hoping to see that Pacer ad again..

That Charger ad is a trip- I had that same ad tacked to the wall beside my bed for years.

You know what the tagline on ALL these ads should be?

The translation of #5 is meant to say something like, "mechanics are looking for second careers": i.e., the Honda performs so well, they need to explore alternate career options. The other two ads posted on the site explore the theme with, instead of the woman, an origami piece on the one hand and a chef’s hat in the other. Strange. Alternative careers for mechanics would appear to be: masseur, origami artist, and chef.

"Quadrozontal" is now my favorite word.

While intently studying these ads, I noticed one odd thing - if #3 is a Ford ad, why is the man driving an Opel Kadett? Either the images have fogged up your eyes, or those old tales of self-abuse causing blindness are true.
