@smalleyxb122: Several years ago, during the opening events of a monster-truck show, they set up a small dirt-jump rally oval in the outdoor arena. Highlights included a Mk2 Golf's rear suspension collapsing entirely and, more to the point, the announcer mentioning that at a previous event, a man ran the fastest time on a similar course... in his wife's Taurus.
Grain of salt and all that, but there's a reason I remember it.
@FuzzyPlushroom: That reminds me of one of those "tough-truck" competitions where they let the locals hoon their rides on the monster truck course.
They had F350s and all manner of heavy lifted trucks and rock-crawlers, etc. The vehicle that turned in the fastest time? a CRX! It simply floated across the mud-bog and was so light that it didn't break anything cresting the peaks on the monster truck sized ramps...
That's just incredible. The car is living its life in reverse. From Ending its days at LeMons, then into a major racing series.... At this rate in about fifteen years it'll back onto the production line as a new car.
Must have ticked for the Immortality option group in the SE-R Catalog.

What's next? A LeMons VW pulling DD duty DOTS? Oh, right. [jalopnik.com]
I guess it goes to show that if you don't lose an engine, or "win" people's curse, 24 hours of LeMons needn't be the swan song for your automo-car.
I still wouldn't recommend racing your mom's Camry without her knowledge.
